Thanks everyone, i think the best thing is for him to go to shelthered accomadation and if his parents need him he can come out and help, then go back to his own place. Then at least he can prove himself to everyone and if he fails then it will make no difference to my situation. His parents aren't putting the cattle first, it pobably the way i've wrote the post. They just want him to wise up as much as me and don't know whats for the best. They've been fantastic towards me for years and dote on the kids. :D
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

That sounds very sensible. Preservation of your own peace of mind and protecting the children has to be paramount right now.

I can understand why they want to keep the cattle for him.. as an incentive to sort himself out and so he has a job when he does.. letting that go must be like admitting he will never be able to manage it.

I've highlighted the key bit here - you know that HE has to want to change and then he has to change and it will be hard for him but you have bailed him out enough now (IMO) - and the peace you will get from not having him to worry about will be amazing. It doesn't matter HOW many people love these addicts - that love doesn't pull them out of it. Sending you lots of hugs from over the water...

DDs room DONE DS's room done (just touch up jobs in his). I will have another go at the bathroom ceiling tomorrow. I've also stripped the beds, accomodated our furry visitor who's here while his folks are on hols and is paying for board (DD will get it) and SOLD THE CYCLE CARRIER that has been unused in the shed ever since exH left - 6 years - made £25 for the kitchen fund.

And the hols are HALF OVER:(

I agree especially when we still have 3 weeks 6 days until mine return:eek: on thursday 8th september (who in their right mind decided children would go back on a thursday - teachers are in from the monday!)
We have been at the beach for the last two days for our annual airshow - (rain never stopped us either!!)
Pleased to report I done absolutely no flying to speak of - except washing up and showering the children to save a pile of sand in beds!!!! Think I will have to get a move on tomorrow, hope it's a nice drying day got 10 towels to wash as well as two normal loads of clothes washing:eek:
Thanks to MSE savings we got to go to Disneyworld Florida.
