just watched the trailor and one staff member says 'they can' sack you for speaking the truth' and then when called to head office the boss says 'I can't tell you how upset I was' and the staff member says then 'am I being fired?'0

I saw that too and it's just to get us watching but he will get a ticking off. It's better to regret something I did do than to regret something that I didn’t. :EasterBun0

Hope hope he does, it will show a true reflection to what would happen in the real worldIt's better to regret something I did do than to regret something that I didn’t. :EasterBun0

Ok just had a quick flick around the net and apparently he posed as an unemployed person on a work placement and dressed scruffily to boot so he made sure he pandered to the stereotype of an unemployed person.
The only way to get to the truth of the way companies operate is to do the filming secretly.
Now if they got a REAL unemployed person to film their work placement with a hidden camera that would make for a VERY interesting programme as well as more truthful.0 -
Undercover boss??? OK what classes the programme as undercover boss when a film crew is following you around? If they were filmed on secret cameras then we would see what's really going on.It's better to regret something I did do than to regret something that I didn’t. :EasterBun0

This series has been shown on TV over a few years now and I cannot help wondering that 'unsuspecting' staff in the current series must have seen previous programmes.
Suspicions must be aroused when a TV crew is following someone around who is purporting to be a new recruit/placement etc.
I suspect the programme is sanitised and does not reflect the real world.
Everyone the MD's meet are super efficient, customer focused and seem very conscientious, and I wonder if participants have been 'selected'.
We all know someone who we work with who would just not fit the types that appear on the show.
You know the ones - those who F and Blind at every opportunity, and in particular the workers who just don't give a toss about their work or their employer.
I certainly know of one former colleague who if 'selected' would certainly ensure the programme was broadcast after the 9:00pm watershed!0 -
Since when does film crews follow someone from the job centre? It's better to regret something I did do than to regret something that I didn’t. :EasterBun0
