Inner Guard Security - Big Parking Fine Help?

After the riots spilled over into Ilford, lets just say my job required me to be working all the hours under the sun, I overstayed in one of the town centre car parks and started receiving letters from Parking Eye, now Roxburghe and I presume soon Graham White Solicitors.
I wanted to share with you how Roxburghe have changed their letters to possibly become even more intimidating, in particular;
We are fully aware of anecdotal information being presented via the internet and on various websites and you may feel this guidance is worth following. We strongly urge you to speak to independent legal advice rather than rely on these opinions, and we would respectively suggest that you refer to the Civil Procedure Rules part 31*, and more specifically parts 31.16 and 31.17.
Is this just a another scare tactic??
Yeh, ignore it. I've been posting the letters back as return to sender each time I get a letter. I've not heard since0 -
Hello,
Received final warning letter today from Graham White.
And for your information it looks like this:0 -
The usual rubbish from this company. Just keep ignoring. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0
-
You've gotta laugh.
"We have already fulfilled all legal requirements in relation commencing litigation."
Well, why not get on with it, then?
"... we shall refer the matter in seven days."
Refer it where/to whom - seems to have neglected to say.
"Please be assured this matter will not go away without solution or resolution."
You sure? It usually does go away if the many cases on this forum are anything to go by. Ignoring seems to make it go away in the end.
"If you do not wish to incur the consequences of court action, you must pay the amount claimed immediately."
Really? NOT paying doesn't tend or result in the idle threats of consequences mentioned earlirer in the letter, so maybe that's a better option than paying.0 -
Careful! There is something missing from that letter!
Here it is:
"We reserve the right to issue proceedings without disclosing any cause of action; fail to disclose evidence and meet court appointed deadlines and fail to appear at court at our absolute discretion."My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0 -
Hi
wondering how this all worked out for you in the end or is it still ongoing ?
I've just got a letter in the post with the same issue, for parking over 4 hours in a Tesco etc car park.
I just started a new job and didnt have my card for the staff parking in another area.
I was told it wasnt a problem by manager and didnt get the parking car untill my third day. This fine is what I woiuld earn in two shifts !!!!
There are no traffic wardens - its all done by stelth with number plate recognition, so obviously not even my manager was aware that they do it this way.
I will be taking issue with this with the on site security.
Any help you, or anyone, can give would be great
Thanks0 -

Have a good read through the stickies at the top of this board - I recommend the BBC Watchdog video in particular - you will then understand what this private parking nonsense is all about. My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).

Hi, sorry for late reply.
Well with my situation I have not heard anything since my last letter. I just keep sending them back to sender lol. I suggest you carry on ignoring also; they won't do anything to you.0 -
I too have recieved one of these 'parking fines' I'm quite worried about just ignoring it. If I pay it now it will be £75 which is steep enough but non payment goes to £90. or more if I let it go to court. Can anyone give me any advice on what I should do Thanksthemacuser wrote: »Hi all,
Yesterday evening I parked my vehicle what I thought was a free public car park in Leicester town and when I arrived back to to my car I saw a parking notice which is issued by a firm called Inner Guard Security.
It says on the notice is £90 if I do not pay within 14 days and if I pay before I can pay £75. Now I went to their website and it looks real dodgy.
Reading the terms on the back of the notice that they would obtain details from DVLA and pass details to debt collectors.
The fine is so high. I'm slightly unsure what to do. Should I be obliged to pay up or do I ignore like many other people.
I wonder if any once else has had any notices by Inner Guard Security and what they have done.
Cheers0
