If they ring and you know it's then, say "Hello, this is Philip from Trading Standards, how can I help you", they might just put the phone down0

Hi all,
I received my second letter from Roxburghe today.
I like how it says "It is in your best interests to get in touch with us". I have no interests whatsoever to get in contact
Is it same old scare tactics they are using to say they will forward to their solicitors now?
Thanks

It is not, of course, in your best interests at all to contact them because that will simply prolong the length of time that the stone will stay in your shoe.
Just keep in mind that debt collectors are actually mere mortals like the rest of us and have no more powers than you or I to pursue debts. You and I know that but Roxborg would really, really like you to think that they can make you turn somersaults at the flick of their fingers.
This is such a pervasive problem with DCA's that one wonders sometimes if they are collectively deluded or whether it is simply a case of someone on their staff eventually plucking up the courage to ask where the Emperor's clothes are? However, reality tends to kick back in at that stage and I realise that it's just to do with making money on the back of the ignorance and gullibility of others.
EDIT: On doing an online check of the VAT number shown on the Roxborg letter it shows as being registered but doesn't disclose the name of the company, nor their address?!? Is it just me?
EDIT 2: @OP The barcode below where your name and address appear together with the QR code (square barcode "thing") to the right of it and the series of numbers to the left of your name may allow you to be identified. You might therefore want to obscure them as well.My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0 -
Ex-Banker Steve Dargonne (Midland Bank branches in West Sussex in the 1980s) should be ashamed of his continued 'work' for this scum company.
It did make me laugh to see that it seems their template may have contained the 'fine' word which they have then removed...and forgotten/not bothered to come up with another word! Apparently there's an outstanding (nothing) against your vehicle!
Very professional...not! :rotfl:
I am wondering which websites it may be fun to register that phone number with though, or maybe reply to the next Nigerian Lottery phishing email I get and bait them, giving my details as Mrs Dargonne at that phone number!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Roxburghe may call your phone, but dont worry, it is a spotty 17 year old on an apprenticeship wage.
Dont confirm any details when they call, do not confirm your name or anything else, just try to engage them in conversations about spot cream and why he failed his a levels and ended up in a call centre...Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
At least they give a geographical number and not a 0870 number.
Nice of a debt-collector to think they can handle appeals.0 -
Hi All,
Thanks for your responses.
Today I have just received my first letter from solicitor "Graham White"
I applaud to how !!!!!! they are and they wrote in the letter "You were written to by our client bla bla requesting the settlement of a ."
They must have a person brain size of a peanut typing the letter and a proof reader blind as a bat.
Anyway here is the letter for viewing and reference ;-)0 -

After the riots spilled over into Ilford, lets just say my job required me to be working all the hours under the sun, I overstayed in one of the town centre car parks and started receiving letters from Parking Eye, now Roxburghe and I presume soon Graham White Solicitors.
I wanted to share with you how Roxburghe have changed their letters to possibly become even more intimidating, in particular;
We are fully aware of anecdotal information being presented via the internet and on various websites and you may feel this guidance is worth following. We strongly urge you to speak to independent legal advice rather than rely on these opinions, and we would respectively suggest that you refer to the Civil Procedure Rules part 31*, and more specifically parts 31.16 and 31.17.
Is this just a another scare tactic??0 -

Yep, its not new just a different irrelavant template. What they dont say is the sections of CPR quoted are not relavant to the small claims track.
So as well as being BS, its irrelavnt BS!;)0
