Thanks all for your replies. I'll post back here with what happens in terms of correspondence and actions.

    Cheers!

It would be very helpful if you could collect the whole letter-chain so we can add it to our top thread for info to other newbies. We don't have the 'Inner Guard Security' letter-chain yet!

If you - or anyone here - can help with pictures of PPC and debt collector letters that are different than those shown in the top thread 'PPC letters, what to expect' then they are always gratefully received and added. Check the letters known about so far and add any new ones:

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=163

The best way to update that top thread is to send a pm to the thread-starter, Crabman with a link to a digital photo of the fake PCN and letters. Just blank out any barcode/refs and your car & personal details, and date/location.

Many thanks if you can add a new letter to that thread, it's there to be updated by anyone and everyone who gets a different letter-chain.

I see that, in common with many such parking companies, their website uses the logo of the ICO.
One must wonder if the ICO has given express approval.

Perhaps a check with the ICO is called for in all such instances.

As they state 'It is an offence for an unauthorised person to remove or interfere with this notice' I wonder what the offence is.

I'm concerned about all these people that say "ignore" "it won't go to court they know they will lose" If you go across to https://www.pepipoo.com there are cases where people have ignored all the letters/threats etc ended up in court and lost.

Errrrrm...one cherry-picked or set-up case recently by Perky, another in 2008, that's all I can recall except for UKCPS winning against someone who was in an advisory disabled bay and didn't defend the case very well. And a fair few other cases where the PPC lost, plus the vast, huge majority where the PPC never go near Court, they just send letters as per their scamming business model of threats.

The possibility of a PPC actually winning in Small Claims is not worth a mention since 99.9% of PPCs would never go near a Court and if they did, would certainly lose a defended case. I am concerned that newbies are not scared by a County Court situation that WILL NOT HAPPEN.

Even Perky's accounts show 130+ invoices which were never paid last year and he never bothered with court. So even with Combined Parking Solutions you have less than 1% chance of having a day out with the pie eater and Baldrick.
