you really are an obnoxious person do you know that? do you not read anyones postings properly - I see you seem to have an argument with just about everyone who doesnt agree 100 per cent with YOUR opinion.

What I was told was not rubbish if you actually bother to read my experience and it was an experience - i have been there done it got the award, mine has been to court already, I have been awarded my loss already - not hearsay not ifs and buts and waht ifs but done and dusted - an award in excess of £3500. I give up with this thread - the people on here have been given the advice they need to have a successful claim and yet they still whinge on about how poor ebuyer are and how they deserve this and have you seen how they have ripped people off. If you are going to do it then get on with it I would wish you luck but i have taken an instant dislike to you

No longer a user, goodbye folks. PLEASE delete my account. Thank you
  • What a pity this topic is degenerating into a slanging match. Isn't this just what Ebuyer would want? Divide and conquer. We all want the same thing, fulfilment of a contract, properly made-improperly broken.

I could be out of line hear but what the hell.

There seems to be a lot of bad vibes running through this thread. Ebuyer made a mistake, we were onto it like magnets cos we are good at spotting errors and canny at moneysaving. This all happened during the wee small hours so Ebuyer automated system was probably generating automatic responses. And eventually the !!!!!! fell out of the bargain / pricing error.

I ordered a TV and duly recieved my refund. I have no expectation that Ebuyer are liable. Liable for what exactly? I suspect some poor individual has already been hauled over the coals for a simple mistake - if not been sacked.

I think we have to learn to let go. The main motivator seems to be greed, not contract law or customer service or any other bollex that people are saying. Let go and move on. The energy being invested here is all negative. People may sleep easier if they just move on. Self-righteous anger can lead to a poisoned heart.

Let go of this one and you may live longer. Thats worth much more than any telly.

gt1966, that is your experience, if shrek is being told something different by Trading Standards who do you think he is going to believe? you a brand new member or trading standards, who's job it is to know about this stuff? rather than saying you dislike him and calling him obnoxious just let him get on with what he's doing.

There are still people who don't want the thread locked because of personal attacks on members.

you're certainly not out of line, people are allowed their opinions, and you are not attacking anyone else so I see no problem with your post.

Ebuyer should be liable for their dodgy practices - their policy of taking the customers money as soon as you order is bad (they are not the only ones but this policy by any company is bad) - often things are out of stock a week or so later when they come to dispatch the order - surely if it it is in stock at the time of ordering it should be reserved for the customer once its ordered. Plus getting a refund is not a simple matter - you usually have to ask them for a refund which can take days to be replied to and processed (in my case to they have refunded the wrong amount several times too)- surely it should be automatic.

Also as shrek101 has said they broke their own terms and conditions, if they did not want a contract formed they should have held back from taking money and put better checks into their system to stop 'obvious' errors occurng.

And on your final point, this whole topic is not ruining my life or wasting my time - but i hope it is causing ebuyer problems - they should have to deal with something for once.

I havent been able to source the exact same tv accept Ebuyer. The model is Samsung WS28A116DSX. Ironic then that you would have to purchase it at Ebuyer or a comparable model else where with has tv cabinet, 100hz and freeview builtin.

suggest you try harder a quick search on google just by dropping the last digit willl give you ample places to buy or you can lok at the Samsung site and get a price from the nearest Samsung dealer WS28A116DS, but I have suspect to you never had any intention of paying full whack for a Samsung set so good luck when the judge advises you where to take a running jump
