It is quite apparent that ebuyer are not only viewing this thread but attempting to influence the activities of those reading and commenting on it's content, which of these users are those is up to the individual to determine for themselves.
What is more apparent to me is that ebuyer feel the need to do so, and this indicates to me the need to minimise the effect it may have, now why do you suppose they would feel the need to do so if the case was so rock solid and the argument so futile?Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0 -
And before anybody comes back at me with a shot from the moral high ground Ebuyer are exactly the kind of problem that sites like this exist to assist their misfortunate patronsFour guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0

bs7 wrote:why don't you go back to your ebuyer job and keep off the forums. That is a complete lie and you know it: there are not 80 pages discussing it as a mistake. Most of those 'pages' are discussing consumer rights (and your companies breach of them and their disregard for the law of contract). Why don't you report back that the email was an idiotic thing to send out.
WHY OH WHY when someone does not agree with anything you have to say do you accuse them of "working for ebuyer" - for the record I do not work for ebuyer, have never worked for Ebuyer and wouldn't particularly want to work for ebuyer - I am an IT consultant for a large European IT Services company based in Birmingham.
As this is a public forum I am entitled to give my opinion as much as anyone else. Get off your high horse and get into the real world!0 -
esalan wrote:To bs7 and gazbcfc: serious allegations here ('lie' and 'ebuyer job'). Either gazbcfc works for ebuyer or he does not. I know not which! If he does work for ebuyer, as bs7 alleges, then bs7 should report him (Those connected to a company being discussed MUST state that connection within their post.) If he is NOT connected to ebuyer, then gazbcfc should report bsy for abuse!
I have reported BS7 for abuse - just because he doesnt like what I have to say he libels me.0 -
gazbcfc -- good for you. I ordered a TV and expect a TV, but I also respect your absolute right to have opinions that may or may not vary from mine.0

So best go tell your boss (if you do work for them that is) that he needs to change the email and stop trying to be clever as it does not suit them....
I Repeat I DO NOT WORK FOR EBUYER - you like a lot of others on this forum have BLINKERS on and cannot see outside of your own little fantasy of obtaining a TV for £28..
They in that advert (which is a standard weekly flyer they send to all customers) are just saying that they sell TVs for £40 or whatever - not that the TV in the picture is £40 - I can see that and so can anyone with half a brain - as i said BLINKERED...
I have nothing to gain or lose from any of this I am just an interested party and as its a public forum and I stick to the terms and conditions I can express my opinion..I dont feel the need to accuse anyone of being a liar or working for so and so..you need to take a step back and actually look at the big picture - what are you actually trying to achieve and what are you doing about it to achieve that aim....from where I stand as a third party nothing seems to be the answer other than whinge and whine about "Your Rights"..you have been given the advice buy another poster about what to do..if you believe you have a case - DO IT!0 -
I am locking this thread until Abcon has a look at it as it seems to be getting a little out of hand0

I'm unlocking this again, but please can you bear in mind that personal comments need to be stopped. This is a useful thread but it will have to be perminantly closed if it becomes too much maintenance for the abuse team.
Thanks0 -

Admin and Co, i have to reply re: above to clarify my position and also calm matters down, re: insults being thrown around. I will not reply any further to this thread unless it calms down as it is pointless...
m8 i have already purchased else where and taking the appopriate action, as for comments re you and ebuyer, as i clearly stated 'if you work for them' i know either way i still don't and in fact i have no interest if you do or don't that matters not, what matters is what ebuyer have done and also what they are going to get against them for failing to comply with the law and their own terms and conditions etc. I have however removed my comments about ebuyer and you as it has sod all to do with the end result...
Lets get back to what this threads about and thats sorting this mess called ebuyer out....
Anyway, have a good un. back to money saving which is whay we are all here !!!
p.s no more personal comments my friend as i have not once done that, insults make the person giving them look worse than the person recieving them....0 -
Not everyone "bought" the set fully expecting to recieve it, however now many of us are intrigued at what the legal implications are of pursuing the case. This is unchartered water: to have delivery "confirmed", money taken and other actions by ebuyer indicating full acceptance of an order - then a refusal to deliver.
Even ebuyer refused to offer us the set at the full price (as would be in accordance with T&Cs), merely stated it was discontinued only to offer it on their site the next day.
The case would be a landmark, even if it was ruled ebuyer didn't have to deliver.0
