Who mentioned murder! !!!!!! we are talking about someone missing a zero off on a price on a website

just how offensive can you be to the victims of such a crime in comparing it to a misprice...you fool!

rekrulesm/mslurker who are you to point a finger at anyone for their actions when you come on to a public forum and post a malicious virus and invite people to click on the link wreckless as to who may be doing so?

I'm beginning to wonder if your name isn't MIKE!

    Might work?

Set up an email address for us to send a mass petition in to Ebuyer, suggesting that one of us will take them to court in a test case unless they take action.

    giveusourtvebuyer@gmail.com

I suggest you put your order number in the email SUBJECT field and just a short note in the body of the text. Has anybody got pictures they can upload of the site as well?

I'll keep everyone posted. If this is a crap idea, just tell me! (I fear you will anyway). Cheers MSE ebuyers!

Well I'm up for action - it not just a cheap TV - its this whole concept of consumer protection and rights - the law needs statue for definition. Any test cases are settled out of court so it will take time for case law to evolve.

Ebuyer have clearly flouted the law with its Terms and Conditions and have failed to comply with European Directives. Companies like them will continue to operate unless they are made to comply. I don't think a petition is Out of Order but I would suggest it is sent not just to ebuyer but also to those who are empowered to ensure consumer rights are protected and not disadvantaged.

I thinkwhat is more damning for them is the different responses to different people. This would indicate that they have tailored their replies to the type of email they had recieved. At present there appears to be two different types (posted in this thread). You would have expected them to have kept to a stock response.

The other thing which will be a nail in the coffin for them is the email response where they have said the offer was discontinued (amit_1 posted at 4.06pm, page 67 post #665) while having on their front page at 4.18pm (post by blueghost, same page post #666) I opened a window at 4.21pm (still got the window open) showing the price of £329.99 inc VAT with a stock of 300.

So they have taken money from accounts, they have sent order confirmation emails, they have their own terms and conditions sections 1.2 and 1.3 where they clearly state a legal and binding contract is made, they have lied about the items being discontinued, I'm sure I've missed bits which others will fill in.....

Please can the Ebuyer lurkers take away the shovels from their bosses digging the hole?

i won't post my whole reply but i got this bit in it ....

Whilst we do appreciate our customers requiring this product at the lower incorrect price, unfortunately this price was advertised due to a system error, causing the cost to show on our site significantly lower than the actual correct price.

The item has been discontinued from our site due to this error, so we were unable to offer the option to purchase the TV at the correct cost, and hence this is the reason as to why the order you have placed has been cancelled and refunded in full.

is there any chance you have taken, or could take a screengrab of that page - it is the one page i forgot to pdf-print.

    Thanks.
