I don't make that assumption unless it's a kitchen or bathroom. To me, pictures of people's beds, which is often most of what is shown for bedrooms, are just a waste of space.
A good room plan is more use than many photos, and for smallholdings, which were my interest, a map of the land. Mostly, I didn't get either.
Estate agents are often very lazy. With smallholdings they rarely walk more than 50metres to take a photo.
When I've had estate agents round for valuations only one went in the garden.
I certainly agree about the floor plans. The pushiest of the EA's said they no longer use them as it puts viewers off! When it comes to marketing my house I think I'll be reluctant to have too many photos taken, even though I find them helpful in deciding which houses I want to view-quite hypocritical I suppose but I like my privacy.0 -
Agent: "I've had this great idea of how to sell an overpriced property in a tough market, boss.."
Boss: "What's that?"
Agent: "Well let's call our company Red Door Homes and we'll photoshop the front door red in all our listings..."
Boss: "Wow, what a GREAT idea!"

(And a front door that's red without the aid of photoshop!)
And one where the photographer could have done with playing 'spot the light switch' - it's a lovely-looking place, but the photos are so dark.
