Baths in bedrooms seems a bit of a trend in London E5.

Not sure on the colour scheme or chandeliers either...

I love the furry rug like thing slung over the chair in pic 10 along with the weird round chair thing.

I think what you are seeing here is the more a reflection on the relative states of the housing market in 2007 versus 2011, rather than some universal truth about photos. Before the crash, you could market a house with just an address on the back of an envelope stuck in a news agents window and buyers would still be knocking at your door because they knew if they didn't act quick it would either be sold or the price would go up.

Now the roles are reversed, a buyer can afford to be more choosy, I want to see a good picture of every room, plans and reasonable descriptions (though I'd be happy to never see another "lifestyle" picture). I will "walk" the area on Google street view and generally take my time, with luck the price will drop before I even think of showing an interest. I certainly don't want to take the time and trouble to go and view a place without knowing exactly what I'm going to see. If I see a house with few pictures I don't think "Oo, what might I discover?" I think "So what are they hiding?".

I think the lack of detail and photos on RM is just a ploy by the EA's: not to "entice" buyers but to increase the enquiry count so they can tell the vendor they must be doing a good job because lots of people are "interested" so please don't go to someone else.

    SP

Thinking about it I guess you're right SP :p Although a quick trawl of RM shows the same EA that we used in 2007 is still only using a max of around 15 pics for houses in the same price bracket (upwards of £600k) ;)

You know when you stay in the bath too long and get a bit wrinkly and dried up........ pic 16 .

Bit of a designer pad - even I recognise some of that stuff.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Blimey, all that white paint makes me long to see some magnolia... never thought I'd say that!

Is that ladder thing in pic 5 some sort of radiator?

It looks like a ladder which is being used a towel rail...

The EA need to update the photo as Jacksons have not existed since 2010

P.S. The photo on the Wiki article of the Headingley store brings back student memories.

Before and after photoshop pictures, quite like the house though.

Noticed my parents have the table and chairs that go from inside to the patio, the duvet in pic 13 and the placemats in pic 14.

My mum got the duvet set in a charity shop for £5 and last year an additional set of pillow cases for £1. It's a very good quality one too and must have cost at least £100 new.

Looks to me like this warehouse conversion is still being converted:

Pic 5 - I have seen better kitchens in properties in the North for a 50th of the price!
