I did click through for the floorplan and the mystery deepens. There IS a floorplan - but no bathroom of any description on it. Guess you scare wildlife and embarrass walkers by conducting your ablutions in the river:rotfl:

Perhaps the folk in the bungalow use the carriage as overspill accommodation, and as it requires " a certain degree of modernisation," that will include the provision of self contained facilities.

In that location, a septic tank would be right out of step with the 2010 regs, so an expensive bio disc system would probably be needed.

Or there's compost toilets....:eek:

We've had these pillars on islands in our last two houses and the current one (DH makes them, although not as a business, just for us but he is very good) and it's never been an issue.......that said, this house is still like a building site with the exception of kitchen, en suite, guest room and snug so I've all but given up dusting :D
