It doesn't matter how many agents you list it with, it's still a seriously ugly building!

Well, I can dream!
Oh, and this - http://www.rightmove.co.uk/new-homes-for-sale/property-36230911.html - is a really neat way of trying to disguise the fact that what you're buying is currently just a very muddy hole in the ground!
I know - the first one is completely ghastly - DS was a chorister for eight years at the cathedral opposite and one of the clergy who was a good friend lived alongside that particular house. We always remarked how those houses were an eyesore compared to the characterful cathedral! DS also was at school opposite the next one you've linked - that's a lovely property btw - so all-in-all we spent a great deal of time in/around the High St.
We lived five minutes away from there until about five years ago and back in the 1990s we actually almost bought Felton House in the High St which is next door to the house where the Duke of Buckingham was assassinated by John Felton in 1628. It was apparently the place where Portsmouth FC was formed in 1898 - something that didn't go down too well with DH who is a Saints fan! It's also supposed to be haunted, if you believe that sort of stuffMortgage-free for fourteen years!

I have a bit of a love affair with 1970s architecture, and I'm afraid that I really like that house. At the moment, 1970s stuff is out of fashion, but it will come back, and that is a really good example.

I find it so disappointing when I see a house advertised , think that looks interesting, then the photographs are off putting.0 -

TBH I'd be more worried about values in Plymouth longer term.
To me, it's relationship to Exeter seems similar to that between Swansea & Cardiff. One is weathering the storm, and the other.....:(
Oh gosh! Forgot this is the 'Not Serious' thread. Sorry!:o:o:o0 -

Exactly what I was thinking!

One house that I bought was, I must admit, pretty ugly. But not nearly as ugly as the photos made it look. This was in the days before RM and lots of photos, so I am sure that many people were put off by the photos. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

It feels claustrophobic to me, trying to figure out why i noticed the ceilings are the same throughout the house apart from the "dressing room" which only a child could get changed in!When using the housing forum please use the sticky threads for valuable information.0 -
Not being a photographer these pics do not seem to have been taken by a normal lens more like a wide or fish type lens, any ideas?0
