Wow  wonder if the buyer would need to get rid of all the stuff too?0 -
bit of a theme going on with this one.

OMG, even the hot tub cover is silver
.......and what is it with swags and tails in the West Midlands? We relocated from the south of England to Staffordshire eighteen months ago and I've never come across so many houses with swags and tails! I made some for a previous house in the late 1990s and thought the fashion for them had died out soon after that.......Mortgage-free for fourteen years!
Over £40,000 mis-sold PPI reclaimed0 -

No reason to suppose it's damp, money; conventional cavity wall build and nothing obvious regarding serious lack of maintenance.0 -
3 million for a plot. blimey. that's steamy. and then you've got to build 17,000 square feet of house.
Exactly! The most expensive house for sale in the nearby area is £5.5 million, but that comes with a pristine mansion and then there is another 11,000 sq ft mansion for £3.25 million, so I am not sure who is going to risk the cost of building a 17,000 sq ft house in addition to the £3 million plot. Perhaps the price will come down slowly but surely! To err is human, but it is against company policy.0 -

I think there are "regional styles" I've come to the conclusion. That surprised me - as I assumed things were the same right across the country.
But I've found that does seem to apply to some extent after moving. Whether its down to the average age of a community/the average income in the community/how fast-moving (or slow-moving) it is I havent quite figured out.
I just know that what people here might think of as "money's style" isnt in the slightest. I dont have an original bone in my body when it comes to how to style a house unfortunately:rotfl: - I just do what I've seen. I can check back on houses listed for sale in my home area - and..yep...there's a house got together like mine and another one got together like mine and and and.....
That doesnt actually bother me - I tend to regard it as "practical"/easy to live with - so <shrugs shoulders>.
I guess to any of us who do like to "express our individuality" it probably comes out in totally different aspects of our life.
...and yep...I hate/loathe "swags and tails" and had thought they went out of fashion years back...0 -

Here's a nice chocolate box cottage for you this morning.

Nothing especially scary, but it's a long trek to the loo in the night for your £350k!0 -
I wasn't sure if I should put this one up, but it's all public information.
While I feel for the vendors, buyers are entitled to know everything they can discover about a property, and in all honesty I can't see many going into this with their eyes closed....

I do like thatched cottages. Though - I wouldnt touch them with a bargepole - courtesy of fire risk/insurance stuff.
But - I do see something Dave - unless I'm much mistaken - there is a pylon over in nearby field...(ie at the least - not the view one would expect).0
