I quite liked it until the cinema room and the bath on a platform...but I guess I could change those;) Relative of mine lives close by....in a basic 3 bed detached BTW !

I moved to my house in 2006. I still have a pine clad wall in the dining room and a pine clad ceiling in the kitchen. They should both finally be gone by Easter though

Depends how it's done. I've just put matchboarding to 900mm in the hall and dining area. Painted with Farrow & Ball, it looks OK to me, and it will stand up to the wear & tear there much better than alternatives.
