I'm wondering if the block is studio flats & someone has created a 'bedroom' in the loft space of one of the first floor studios. If there are 8 studios in the block that would explain the roof shape in that room.
That's exactly what it is. Those are a very common design of studios. They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0 -
If they lost it, it was because they let it go, which can happen if the demographic of a village changes.
Schools, pubs and POs have gone in many places, including my village. The Village Hall would be a loss too far, though finding £25k to sort out the roof isn't easy.
There was never much parking on that site, so perhaps the locals decided to support another one nearby, rather than attempt to keep several halls going.
Am currently in the market for an ex-village hall or chapel or similar! :-)They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0 -

I feel like I want to vomit. How can someone live in that. Great example of how to make a big room look small.0 -

OMG where does the wall end & the carpet start in the black bedroom.
Has anyone been in one of those places where the walls are lopsided, and the floor is tilted, and you loose balance & orientation when you go inside?
We went into one in The Lakes years ago, in a Puzzle House, that bedroom makes me feel like that!!
I'd probably have vertigo just being in there to pull the wall paper off & and the carpet up!:j0 -
