Very quiet around here lately! Where is everyone?
Welcome Cazmcf! :T
Well done Occy!!! :j
Well I forgot to weigh in todayDidn't get up until 7.30am so was too busy rushing around, trying to get everyone ready. I'd put on 1lb on mon so will go with that result rather than an STS, then I'm not making things harder for myself next month - really need the motivation of a fresh start and new challenges.

its really hard to say no to food, at the weekend, I made the mccains crispy chicken and decided that I would no longer buy fried chicken as this was much tastier and no frying, lo and behold, went to mr a's today and saw some whoopsied southern fried chciken wings and decided I must have them, walking down the hill and thought to myself why did I even buy them again? My freezer is full and had to take things out of their containerds to fit said wings in, I really cant help myself, I swear.
Oh, you sound just like me!!!! I'm terrible for buying things like that - I can be really 'good' all through the supermarket, but when I get to the whoopsie aisle, I lose it a bit, lol.I find it really hard to resist bargains, even though I know it's something I shouldn't really be eating! My 'Money saver/maker' side takes over!

Heading back here after a not being on here for ages, not that I was a big poster when I was!
I recently joined the gym as we get a really good deal through my new work place. I had my induction and they put me on some scales that seemed to measure everything - even how many calories I'd had that day! As I was near 2000 she told me not to eat any dinner! I must say I havent been back since, but am planning on using the pool this weekend and braving the gym next week!
I started Zumba last week at my local community centre. It was hard work but I enjoyed it so I'm off again tonight. The only thing that put me off was the weird guys stood outside watching us...!
Ive also signed up to MyFitnessPal as recommended above. Its quite an eye opener when you can see just how many calories you're consuming, even when you think you're being good! Time for a bit of an overhaul on the eating side I think.0 -
It's a loss of 1.6lbs for me this week, thanks Fred.0

Congratulations BB  It sounds like you had a lovely day. It is my daughters wedding this Saturday - getting excited now.
Welcome newbies - you have come to the right place. Ms Night Rider - I don't think you have to disclose your weight on the forum, just your loses. I think I did PM Fredsnail with my weight at the beginning, but this is kept private. I am sure Fredsnail will explain.
Well my first gain since joining this forum + 0.25 lb. Wedding preparation and life in general just getting in the way at the minute and exercise has fell my the wayside for the last few weeks. I am not going to beat myself up over it though - determined to get back to the gym after the wedding.
Good luck with the loses everyone.

Well I'm back from my holiday and have put on 1lb
this month (not too bad really, I didn't watch what I was eating at all on holiday!)
So as of this week I'm back on the wagon and in on all the challenges .... erm, have I missed the plans for next month?Do you not know that a man is not dead while his name is still spoken?

I like the sound of challenges - have just got an app for my phone which tracks distance walked using GPS. If I get off 3 stops before home, it's 0.85 miles - need comfier shoes to walk in though!
I do Zumba at least twice a week as well
Do new challenges etc get posted on the first of the month?
I'll be back tomorrow with my first weigh-inIf it doesn't move, eBay it until it does

Thanks for all your kind words guys, as of 1st oct i will be joining in the challenges and will weigh myself *sigh* please sign me up for the holiday challenge, my ideal destination is brazil carnival! dunno if i have just been unrealistic there, but i do 1 hour zumba a week, plus have a promo job in tessys on thursdays in 3 diff stores, so will be timing my walks, also looking to join a local zumba class for evenings, the problem is have found one,but its on tuesdays and i already do zumba tuesday lunch times, it doesnt make sense to me, to do zumba twice in a day, would rather spread it out, so i will keep looking.Lose 28lb 3/28lb
