Wooooooo! Did my first major workout in AGES! Did about 40 mins on the bike (had about 20 mins already on from yesterday so made it up to an hour), then grabbed my mp3 player from the car and put EA Sports Active on the Wii.
Did what used to be 'my usual' workout - a mix of dancing and jogging, although I find the 'dancing' sections too slow so end up shufflin' and prancing around the room, lol. Did 1 hr 13 mins, (excluding the bike) and almost all of that was 'in the zone' according to my HRM (also burnt 593 cals :T). Very pleased with myself, lol. Just need to keep it up now and start doing it regularly.
So, I'm adding 2 hr 23 mins to the challenge - that is what I've just done, plus my 10 min weights session with DS2Matryoshka wrote: »If you follow a programme, you'd want to see it through to the end. For instance the Insanity workout I do is for 60 days and once I start summat .......... :rotfl:Tomorrow is the last day :j
I will then start TurboFire after this. It's 90 days programme which should take me to almost Christmas
I know what you mean, I find the exercise challenges on here really helpful as they give are always in the back of my mind when I slack off a bit, and give me the push to get off my bum and get on with it! I've actually been considering the c25k programme as I quite like jogging, so think it's something I might actually see through to the end - I've tried other workout programmes before but I've not enjoyed doing them so have quickly given up!
Hmmm, I may have to stop thinking about it and actually get on with it!!!0 -

He was feeling under the weather yesterday.
yeah im fine, just got a little bit of a cold, 3/10 by my standards, i have a tiny sore throat and by the end of the day I am tired, went to sleep at 8 last night and now i am awake at 3.30 :rotfl:0 -
Finally finished Insanity Round 2 :j:j:j:j
I'm well pleased that I did it!!! I am fit(ter), look younger than my years, body well toned especially my arms. People in the gym ask me how I developed my "killer biceps"
Unfortunately, the main reason I started Insanity is still my achilles heel. My tummy is not rippedbut I'm beginning to live with it as can't bladdie do nothing about it. I'm now an expert at holding in my tummy when out and about even if it's for 8 hours :rotfl:
Anyway Fred, fit test 25 minutes. Felt I could have done better but my right knee is giving me gyp. It comes on and off since I fell down the stairs 6 years ago. Had to use the knee support this morning so couldn't push myself on some of the moves.
First fit test ....Today's fit test
Switch kicks 70 ....77
Power jacks 63 .... 70
power knees 117 .... 129
power jumps 48 ....40
globe jumps 15 ....12
suicide jumps 13 ....17
push up jacks 31 .... 39
low plank oblique 56 .... 81SECRET TO WINNING PRIZES:

Well after playng yoyo with the odd pound over the ,last week I step to the Mark today and 10st9lb, very happy with that. Only 1 more pound till my first stone is off.
Very nervous about my race today mainly a field of men, pretty sure i will get dropped straight away and have to ride the whole thing solo. But if I don't try I will never know. I guess you shouldn't avoid doing things because of fear of failure.
Have a good day everyone, enjoy your endeavours0 -
So the Dukan seems to really suit you Margaret Clare?
Well, it does seem to. It is NOT a speedy weight loss, I'm not seeing it 'drop off me' as some have claimed. It is slow and steady. I think some of the other systems, where they say 'oh you can still have chocolate' do NOT work for me, because it's just 'mixed messages'.
Friday night could have been difficult, that was where it could easily have all fallen apart. After the long drive on the motorway, the noise, the hassle, the heat, I was tired and lay on the bed. It was cool and quiet, some distance from the car park. DH found he was going 'hypo' so he went to the hotel reception and came back eating a bag of crisps and with a KitKat and a Snickers bar. He'd obviously thought to share it with me. But, bless him, when I asked him he went back to the car (you can't park very close to that hotel, have to park in the services area) and brought the food we'd brought with us. I had 2 big mugs of carrot soup and a Yoplait coconut yogurt. That solved my problem, and when we were nearly home yesterday he said he was proud of me. I could easily have had a drink yesterday. There was beer, cider and mead (made with honey). I didn't.Ær ic wisdom funde, ær wearð ic eald.

Can I ask is anyone else in this thread doing pure calorie counting? I am, plus upping my exercise. I am interested in other peoples experiences.
I am very rigid about my rules and I wondered what sort of flexibility is there in calorie counting that wont undermine weight loss
i.e.
Expending extra calories eaten in exercise.
Are there zero calorie foods?
Fruit/Veg are there any all you can eat options? (I realise not literally:D)
I currently have a limit of 2000 a day (250 Breakfast, 500 Lunch and 1250 dinner) I usually eat under my dinner allowance because I eat what my DW cooks and I can't be sure the calorie content so I always overestimate to be sure.
I guess I will have to reduce my calories intake as I lose weight as my base energy needs will go down, So far I am losing 2-3 lbs a week, is there any calculation I can do to work this out?
Thanks

Hi Occey, you sound like you are doing really well
I am keeping an eye on calories, but also reducing my carbs and am using the site Foodfocus to help me keep track of my calorie and carb intake.
I like it because it lets me add in the exercise I do and adjusts the calories I have left. It also allows you to create meals - so anything I have on a regular basis I weight and create the meal - and then don't have to measure again. I also like the graphs that show the nutricional make up of what you have eaten that day / week.
I think for me the key is to use this as a guide, but not to get too obsessional about it, not to beat myself up if I go over the daily calorie intake. I am taking the view that this is a perminant way of eating, so it has to be flexible and if I am on track 80 % of the time that is OK.
