That was me yesterday. I had chocolate muffins, crisps, coke, sweets :eek: then my tummy started hurting :rotfl:I could be good for months on end then one day, Bam!!! It doesn't seem to hurt me weightwise or nothing though as I still keep my exercise up and it's only once in a while but I wonder why ................

You know, I would love to be like that - to be able to eat whatever I want and not worry as I'd just burn it off later. My problem is that I really struggle to get into an exercise routine, and I just don't enjoy it enough to actually want to do it - it's more like a chore!

    Hey all!

Fred +30 mins running Run 3 Week 3 C25K, :) Week 4 next time, I wonder what it can be .

Also +30 mins Cycling, into town to do some shopping :)

Friday was a pain, knew I was going to have an Indian take away so I reduced my breakfast and lunch calories so I could feel a little less guilty, then at 4:30pm work suddenly realise they have a big system problem and I spend the next 5 hours fixing... no take away for me :( only eat 1250 calories, ah well cloud, silver lining etc.

Tomorrow going to see the new JJ Abrams film Super8 :T Can not go to cinema without popcorn, which is not light on calories, still it's early showing so will have a popcorn brunch :j

If you follow a programme, you'd want to see it through to the end. For instance the Insanity workout I do is for 60 days and once I start summat ......... :rotfl:Tomorrow is the last day :j

I will then start TurboFire after this. It's 90 days programme which should take me to almost Christmas

We've just got back, left after breakfast yesterday to drive down to Burbage, Wiltshire, to attend an event called the Great Englisc Folcmoot (that's Old English, or Anglo-Saxon). Just a lovely day out with all kinds of things going on in a field, with like-minded people.

Anyway, what to eat? And as it turned out, I'm feeling very proud of myself. In earlier times, when calorie-counting and food-diary-keeping, I would very likely have 'blown it'.

We stopped on the way down at a motorway services, went into Waitrose there, bought a 3-decker sandwich and a box of cherry tomatoes. I can eat those like sweets! It was my protein and veg day, so I took the meat out of the 3 sandwiches and gave the bread to the crows and starlings. We stayed at the DaysInn at Membury Services and what could I eat in the evening? Well, a bowl of tomato and basil soup was good, a pre-packed Caesar salad was basically rubbish, and expensive rubbish at that! I only ate some of it.

Fortunately I had thought to make some carrot and coriander soup and we put it into a wide-necked thermos. I was hungry at night, so we had that, plus a Yoplait coconut yogurt.

Today was protein only. I thought it would be big problems, but I was determined not to slip. We found a van in a lay-by serving full English, and he didn't bat an eyelid when I asked for bacon, egg and no bread. We bought burgers in the field where the event was held - I ate the nice tasty meat and gave the bread to the birds. I sidestepped attempts from friends to buy me a drink, and stuck to diet coke. We'd also taken hard-boiled eggs with us so we had those in the afternoon plus another of the little yogurts.

So, I got through the day sticking rigidly to the plan, and it was surprisingly easy. In earlier attempts I wouldn't have. I don't know what makes the difference. Maybe it's because this really is 'last chance saloon' for me.

Exercise - well, walking around a field is quite tiring when you're not used to walking on grass and uneven ground.
