Can everyone get their thinking caps on for the exercise and team challenges for next month - any suggestions considered :j
How about something to do with the Olympics? see where the flame is going and opt of a leg of the journey? say for example it was going in one stage to go from Kent to sussex that would be say 50 miles and that would be your taget.
To those who do DVDs, yoga, gardening etc say for each 30 minutes equates to a 3 mile worth.
It's only a suggestion I am sure there are far better ideas out there though and I won't be offended if voted rubbish!!!!!0 -
Feeling really pleased this morning. 70.1 kg
- 0.6 kg since last week.
That's just a whisker over 11 stones. The loss is 1 lb 5 oz.
Interesting how this is caClulated -I am female, an inch taller than you at 5 ft 9 in and 'big boned', yet according to the Dukan site my 'true weight' is lower than yours at 12st 4lb.
Think 12 st 4lb would be quite a good weight for me though. It is 3 stone lighter than I am now which feels doable. Lowest I have ever been as an adult is 10 st 5lb, but think at my age I would look a bit 'wrinkly' if I got down to that weight now.
Jess, it IS doable. It is working for me whereas no other system has done, or at least, not in reasonable time.
The difference, according to some of the posters on the Dukan site forums, is because of conversion between metric and imperial.
I agree with you. Dukan says my true weight is 60 kg, which is 9 1/2 stones. According to all the 'official' sites I should be 2 stones less than that, but I've never weighed 7 1/2 stones in adult life, never! I'll be happy to get to 60 kg.

Good morning.
Taken this week off work to knock out our old kitchen and replace it, not going quite as fast as I would like but we are getting there. Don't know if I can count it as exercise but it is sure keeping me moving.
FS 3lb loss this week, managing to keep to the 1417 kcal limit suggested by Foodfocus, have not updated my weight on the site as I think fewer calories will not be good for me and I am losing weight fast enough as it is.
Ran through the Dukan site and it says my true weight is 11st 13lb so I am closing on that, my personal target is a stone lighter than that which is quite a disparity, I will see when I get there what I think.

11 stones and half a pound.
You'll hear me scream from here to Newcastle once I get down below 11 stones, into the 60kgs instead of the 70s.Ær ic wisdom funde, ær wearð ic eald.

Sigh.
It's a 0.8lbs loss for me this week - no change since Monday.
Clearly I am doing something wrong, my body has just STOPPED. I am eating as well as I can and exercising. I so badly wanted to get to 4 stone lost this week, but now it feels like I'm never going to get there. I feel really disheartned by this - I am trying my best, but my body doesn't want to play along. You'd think it would WANT to get healthier! Stupid body.
I also I ate a small rice crispie cake today - it was too sweet, I didn't enjoy it and it made me feel jittery, headachey and generally unwell. My heart is still beating too quickly an hour later. I can't even take comfort in sugar anymore! :rotfl:
I don't know what to do now, really. I'll just keep trying, I guess - but I really don't feel like it if I'm not seeing results.
Trigirl I will try that on my bike this evening - thanks0 -

Not sure I understand this MargaretClare. Does that mean there is an error in the sites calculator?don't know what to do now, really. I'll just keep trying, I guess - but I really don't feel like it if I'm not seeing results.
It's so annoying that your body seems to be fighting you WoT, especially as it sounds like you have done really well. Nearly 4 stone - that's a great achievement :T One thing I have found in the past though is that when I have been disheartened and given up my body loves to put the weight back on, so please don't give up.

I am reporting a STS this week thanks Fred :A
No news on interview front, not going to find out until November but it was to do with the Olympics, so will see what happens.
Have had visitors all week and another lot arrive later this evening so I am feeling really stressed as I can't get to my treadmillAlso my cold has returned yet again which is really getting me down. The good news is though that I have not been comfort eating.
Trigirl - Love your Olympic idea, also I would love to meet up for a run with everyonecould you give me your interval treadmill advice please? I'd love to hear what you would advise
Victory - Good news :T I'm so pleased for you
Margaret Clare - Well done on your loss on Dunkan will I hear your scream in Devon too ?
Also met a very interesting Lady today who admitted to me she has had gastric surgery, and lost 9 stones but she never does any exercise so hates her body as the skin hasn't even started to tone so is spending lot's of thousand of pounds to have more surgery  But it made me very proud of myself that what I have done is natural and the exercise has made a hell of a difference in the final result. Hi. Can I join in???
I have just started a detox (I'm on day 3) and so far have stuck to it pretty well. It is soup and juice for 4 days and then more soups but with fish/chicken incorporated for a further 6 days. After that I hope to have my appetite under control.
I am snacking on almonds and pecans and juicing veg and herbs for water loss.
I have not really followed a diet before, and unfortunately it showsso it has been great just following a diet plan to the letter. I have not weighed myself recently but at last weighing I was 115KG .
I am just so fed up of putting weight on - every year I get a little bigger and I want this to STOP!!!
I have come to this thread and got lots of inspiration and all your stories are great to read about - I would like to join in so I have an outlet if and when I am feeling weak and about to eat 5 peices of toast and butter at 1am in the morning.£2012 in 2012 = £34.440 -
2hrs and 1lb loss for me this week please.world_of_tights wrote: »Clearly I am doing something wrong, my body has just STOPPED. I am eating as well as I can and exercising. I know exactly what you mean here, I've just been cutting out snacks and eating smaller portions of my usual meals. But I've gone from 0-5hrs(min) per week exercise and wokred out that my average calorie intake is only around 1000-1200 per day anyway.
On the other hand, I really feel like I'm thinner and my (terminally unobservant) OH has even commented that my clothes look looser so I'm just trying to ignore the actual scales.
(Oh, I'm also feeling a little constipated which I'm sure isn't helping. Sorry for the TMI)Do you not know that a man is not dead while his name is still spoken?
