C00kie wrote:Sorry I've only skim read this thread... have you tried anonymously ringing the store (1471 before the number) and asking to speak with whatever the managers name is on the letter (Rees was it?), just to see if that person exists to start with. If they do, you can hang up as they go to get them, and if they dont, shred the letter and tuck into your free Tesco grub

It's 141 before the number to withhold your own number.0 -

I am completely intrigued to know where you got £137 worth of coupons from?!?! I mainly use internet ones and get the odd one I spot in magazines or off products and generally have about £5 worth for each shop I do.
Can you divulge what your main coupon source is please?
As an aside, I think there has been some very good advice given here and I definitely agree that the manager (if it's not a hoax from a friend) is desperately trying to cover his own back and they really haven't got a leg to stand on. Yes you may have taken the P*** somewhat but they accepted them so no fraudulent behaviour on your part.Quidco ~ £3,718 | Greasypalm ~ £354 | Freefivers ~ £45 | Pigsback ~ £260 shopping vouchers + 15 CDs
Total cashback / freebies / money-saving: 2006 ~ £3,961 | 2007 ~ 3,610 | 2008 ~ £4,159 | 2009 ~ £1,449

Just out of curiousity.
how many people saw the reciepts
as they would have clocked the times.
otherwise only the store and yourself would know that information0 -
yep its a worried manager-nothing else look at the letter, not tesco standard, no tesco logo etc, a letter from tesco or sainsburys etc officially would be on paper with a logo saying the company name etcSpud wrote:I am completely intrigued to know where you got £137 worth of coupons from?!?! I got into argument with one of the slap-a**e face SA in Brent Park after she wouldn't accept my coupons, her supervisor backed her up so I too called up HO.kellywelly wrote:My mum just called Tesco CS on the 0800 number and asked for clarification of voucher acceptance, she was told thath the only other stores coupons they accept are sainsbury's, she was also told that you can definately use a voucher from a magazine say birds eye peas £1.00 off against shopping even if you do not have the product as long as they stock the product in question.
I was told under no circumstances should any stores be accepting coupons for goods not purchased, so it seems if they can't decided what the hell is going on, how can their stores?Third time lucky on WW I hope :j
