My Micra is 8 years old, has never had any repairs, is reliable, economical, easy to park, comfortable....need I go on? Ok, it will exceed 100 mph, as would my previous Micra, oh, and the one before that too. As to my driving abilities, I have been driving for 41 years, and taught emergency fire appliance driving until 8 years ago. Perhaps the Micras you passed with your caravan were actually parked?

I think the complete idiot is someone who would drive a Nissan Micra at over 100mph!
And I think the courts would agree too!"There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0 -

Where did the poster say he drove the car at 100mph?0 -

He said that his Micra will exceed 100 mph. He did not say that he had ever driven it as such a reckless speed.I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.0

The problem with Micra drivers is that most of them can't even handle them - as is testified by the number of them being driven so slowly.
And I certainly don't have a sense of self-importance - I leave that to BMW drivers. Me, I would say more a sense of self-preservation on roads full of mediocre drivers.
And if anyone thinks you can't overtake whilst towing a caravan - then they're not a very intelligent driver. Towing has a speed limit of 50mph on single carriageway roads. Overtaking a Micra doing 25mph is easy on a clear road and perfectly safe and lawful. After all, I don't want all those behind thinking it's me holding everybody up, do I?
I would much rather see a more life enriched person driving a micra slowly than a huge car like a jaguar or a rover 75!
Can I just state you are a caravan driver (enough said) so I think such a bold statement about Micra drivers is a bit RICH!0 -

I don't actually remember being overtaken by a Nissan Micra ever, but I do remember one Purple P-Reg Micra trying once but as the driver was a big fat fella, it ran out of puff before he got level with me. I've just thought - Maybe that was the poster!
The poster also claims to have been driving for 41 years. That's almost as long as I have, but what does that prove? I drove road test cars for 20 years and wrote reports on them for newspapers and magazines - all that proves is that the car maufacturers had enough confidence in my driving to lend me cars worth many thousands of pounds for long periods of time, and they were all returned without incident.
He also claims to have taught fire appliance driving. I sincerely hope he never taught any of these drivers. There again, maybe he did. We'll never know will we?

As for the other comment - I've never owned a Jag or a Rover 75 in my life. Neither do I 'drive' a caravan - I tow one.
I shall look forward to meeting up with all these Nissan Micras trying to get past me next time we're out towing.:rotfl:"There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0 -
You've never driven a Corsa then, clearly.
No-one seems to have an answer as to why the Micra is so much worse than the near-identical Clio either.
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Yes I have driven a new corsa, infinately better, and the latest Clio beats them both hands down.
The clio/micra are not based on each other, drive each to find out.I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -

Someone who knows what they are talking about. Good for you.
Now I'm waiting for one of the Micra lovers to come on here and tell us all that the Nissan Stanza was the best car ever made and was state of the art technology."There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry.
