What is going on with this bl**dy website today? It seems to crash every two seconds!

Just been out to Comet for new vacuum cleaner on a half price deal as spotted by somebody on the I wanna board :T My old one is being Freecycled, it was supposed to be picked up today but the lady called and rearranged for Saturday morning.

As I knew it would be easiest to get a minicab home from the shops (£5) I took the opportunity to stock up on some bulky/heavy stuff at Asda including using up the £20 I had leftover in the Christmas budget, on chocolate and beer :o That's it though, the budget's gone! Also got some salmon steaks for my dinner, reduced to £1.12, they'll be delicious fried rare and served with new potatoes and carrots (salad would have been better, but the carrots really need to be used up!)

Shez, I see you've de-Christmassed your avatar :D I trust you're watching The Importance of Being Ernest on BBC2 at the moment ;) (though TBH I think Rupert Everett is sexier than Colin on this particular occasion :o)

    Rzl xx

    Hi Everyone

Only got to Page 3 of your posts today as site a bit up and down. Good luck and best wishes to those trying to stop smoking. I did it 4 years ago and I was a really, really heavy one. You can do it! Hugs and kisses to everyone else.

Took deccies down today and kind of glad to get back to normal. DH came back this afternoon with 2 huge beef joints reduced (half price) from Somerfield. We cut them in half before freezing because too big for SC. We have saved so much since he retired. He is so proud when he gets the bargains!

Need to go and renew Costco card tomorrow and various other things. Hoping to have DGSs before I go back to work on Monday.

    Great to be on here.

So when the chat forums were unavailable what did I do? Panic? Well nearly. No I did lots of searches typing in the following words...frugal, tightwad, penny pinching etc and I now have lots of interesting (mainly american) sites on frugal living. I will never be off this computer now! :rotfl:
(Oh dear! I also went onto Amazon and ordered two more frugal/money saving type books)
