    Evening all

Sorry to read some of your bad days hope they get a bit better tomorrow:D.

Still havent totally got back to normality yet but with an early conference call tomorrow morning then I guess thats the time I will _pale_

Christmas decorations are all now back in the attic - much to my neighbours horror who says I will suffer bad luck for the whole of the year now:rolleyes:  I dared her to come on here and say that but she strangely declined:rotfl:

House is slowly getting back to normal and I have been decluttering my wardrobes - or at least swopping some stuff around and organising my work and my casual stuff into two different rooms.

My friend who has her son living back with her since new year is pulling her hair out with him (hes decided a drink feest is a really good idea:rolleyes: ) so we have decided to go to our local pub for dinner and an escape for her - they are doing the 2 meals for a tenner deal at the moment so not too extravagent:o

    Big hugs Tru :A

Amie - 9 lots of goose fat:rotfl: thats going to be a lot of gorgeous roasties (where do you live again:o )

Natzini - I got my pink filofax from Staples if thats any help it is a breast cancer awareness one so a donation is made too:T

Alfietinker - congratualations that is what this site is all about

Right best get ready for the pub - looking forward to something that is not christmassy

    Hugs

    23_165_10.gifAfternoon all.

Been at work today - pah. I was quite looking forward to it, some normality, but by lunchtime things were beginning to drag.

Boss caught me updating Jan's meal plan - he thought it a mad thing to do! And to think he is an MSEer (I know cos I've seen him browsing, and he comes out with stuff "from this consumer website I belong to". One day I'll challenge him. Wonder what his signon is?) But I think he's the type who lets is wife do all the house stuff so doesn't appreciate the necessity to plan when you work and have kids (or work or have kids IKYWIM):D

Got rid of some ballpool balls that my brother gave us last year (only needed one bag - he got us 6:eek: 600 balls in total. No way I let the kids open them all) It's the first time I've offered on freecycle - only responded to wants before. I feel quite virtuous as teh family was lovely and so appreciative. I had thought about giving them to DDs old nursery but I didn't feel right giving stuff to an expensive private nursery - specially not the amount they charged us.

Sitting here drinking my soup. Hopefully if I eat early I won't do my own personal storecupboard challenge in one sitting, as usually happens while I wait for dinner to cook:o :rotfl:

    Sorry for wittering on all.

Hope you all sort your other halves out. (Mine's obsessed with getting all his CDs onto his iPOD at the mo - means I can't get on the PC but does mean I can watch telly in peace)

I tried to post earlier but the site kept going wonky :D

Mr tru rang me at 2.15pm, to ask if I'd rung the school. I said no, you were supposed to do it. He said he didn't have time this morning, but he'll do it now. Bit late, the school has to be informed by 10am

I've had a raging headache all day, nothing will shift it. I took my anger out on 2 printers at work then the boss came in and I ranted at him (not at him, but at him, if you see what I mean). He probably felt really awkward, he's been mr tru's best mate since they were 14.

Oh and I bought some tobacco. And some cigs to keep me going until I could get home to make roll-ups.

I know what I have to do. I can't be truly OS and make decent sales on my cards unless I give up my job. Which mr tru doesn't want me to do - "I'm not going back (money-wise) to how it was before" Ermmm that was a long time ago and he doesn't actually know what everything costs us, he leaves the money and bills to me (I love doing it, not complaining about that at all).

tru - you go girl. Did you not go on strike a while ago that was really successful? Maybe time to try that again?
Yep, that was me. It worked for a while, but things are worse than before

Dishes are loaded in DW so they can churn away while i am out.

    Hi Everyone,
Decided to clear out my freezer a bit today, and came up with Scampi and chips for tea, and found some frozen blackberries and elderberries, so made some jam with them! Have also got DH to read "Thrifty Ways for Modern Days", so will be interesting to see what he thinks! Sorry to hear that a few of you are having bad days. I'm enjoying some time at home this week with DS, before I go back to work next week.

    Have a good evening all...Powie

Why do I now have a mental image of everybody in your house queuing outside the bathroom with their legs crossed until you get back from the supermarket :rotfl:

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Perhaps "desperate" was an inopportune choice of word:D My system is one roll on the holder, spare on the shelf above. Other spares kept in a cupboard. When the one on the holder is used, it is replaced by the one on the shelf and a new one fetched to go on the shelf. Still with me?:D When there are two spares in the cupboard I count us "short" of rolls, if there are none in the cupboard I count us "desperate"!!! Look I have a son who can demolish the best part of a roll in one go! So no Rzl, there wasn't a queue of crossed-legs, contorted faces:D ( Just as well, i only went shopping two hours ago!!

Just a quick update - ice skating went well no broken bones just one bruised head (nephews).

Lunch was lovely too. I do enjoy having the kids at home generally but not so much in the winter holidays but I am looking forward to having some peace and quiet tomorrow and to tidy the house and have it stay tidy for at least a couple of hours.

Off now to check up on the fl thread.Catch up with you tomorrow.
