Hi everyone,
Hugs to everyone having DH problems at the moment (or DW or DP).
I'm lucky in that DH is quite easy going but sometimes that very laid back nature grates on me.I'm going to try and bite my tongue a bit more before saying nasty things to him that he doesn't deserve. Of course there will always be times when he does deserve it!;)
He should be back at w*r* today but hasn't been well for a week or so and I managed to persuade/order/cajole him not to go in until he's fully better. Mind you, I think he'd have gone in if I hadn't enlisted DD's help, she can wind him round her little finger. It must be his first day off sick in at least five years.
Must get on with my third course work assignment (have to have four done by next Tuesday:eek: ).

my dh is brilliant at helping and he will take the vaccuum out without asking. Trouble is he cannot see for looking sometimes, as he will get the vaccuum out, when to me it is pretty obvious that it doesn`t need vaccuuming. Oh well I don`t say a word because at least he is trying
He`ll do anything I ask him to do but just cannot think on his own. The other day, when I had a fridge full of ready food, he got out a Ramsey cookbook and finds a recipe involving butternut squash on a puff pastry base. I think he knew that I would say not to do it and hey ho that is his attempt done and dusted for the year. I think it is called the art of skiiving
most times it is quite sweet but other times I do have to bite my tongue0 -
Morning all, I think we all need a :grouphug: on here today. Hope everyone's day improves.
I'm quite jealous of all you who still have little ones to chivvy back to school, I so miss my two when they go back to uni and love having them here in the vacs, don't know how I'll cope when they eventually fly the nest for good.
Have been to the supermarket and stocked up on the week's supplies and also some half price bows and ribbons ready for next Christmas. DS20 is still here at the moment so the bill was a bit larger than usual but still about £40 less than before I found this site :T
Waiting to hear from a friend whether her boss will allow her to take a lunch hour today to celebrate her birthday so have no plans for lunch until I hear from her
Breakfast: Porridge with summer fruits
Lunch: ?
Dinner: HM moussake with roasted tomato salad
Hugs to all! Spring is coming! :kisses3:

Morning everyone :hello: but especially:
big (((hugs))) to tru
And jockettuk - fab news on your weight loss so far! :j :j
I was intending to get up when DH left for work, but I stayed in bed rather longer than that............. Whoops. After I've been on here then I'm going to do my Rosemary Conley DVD. It's great because there's a countdown timer in the corner, so you can see how long you've got left! I didn't get to go on my walk yesterday as it started to chuck it down as soon as I got back from Mr T's! It's been raining this morning too, so I'll assess the situation later as to whether I can go for a walk! That would be a double whammy of exercise!
I've also got to work out what I'm going to do with one of DH's Christmas pressies that I got him. It's a trip to Vinopolis in London (got a 20% discount, obviously), but some other friends have also bought us a trip to...... Vinopolis on the understanding that we all go together in a group. Now, I'm sure that it's excellent, but twice in 6 months will make us both permanently p**sed. Hmmm, I'm sure I'll sort something out.
Supper tonight is currently defrosting - it's one of my ultra-fab spag bols! This batch has got a load of red wine in it, which has made it quite rich but VERY tasty!
I'd better finish the workout DVD avoidance tactics.

Home again
covered in paint. I don't know what's with me everytime I paint I end up with more on me. BTW Lelc the cherry cobbler is Black Saturn's cobbler. I used fresh cherries that I got on special yesterday. It was pretty yummy. I've used heaps of combinations of different fruit and it comes out fine.

Hello everyone,
Got a very busy day planned, so am not even going to read the thread until I've done something....as a reward.
- Clean the oven
- Dismantle the tree
- Thankyou cards
- Clean kitchen
- Sort out onions
- Clean the hall
- Ironing
So, I'll be back later, as long I've actally done something. Hope you're all alrightWe must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -
Good morning! Just about made it:D
Not done very much this morning:o I sort of got caught up on the computer!
Had great plans for doing some batch cooking of "ready meals". I so enjoy just pulling stuff out that only needs nuking in the microwave, and it does make life simpler when there needs to be four different eating times! However to get the benefit you do need to do the cook-in! I suppose there's still time, but I will also have to fit in my first trip to a supermarket this year! We desperately need loo rolls! Really can't make any HM substitutions! I'm definitely not going back to my Gran's days of newspaper on a string:rotfl: :rotfl:
Oh dear! DS just rang, DGS had hospital appointment this morning, and has requested to visit Nanny. They'll be here in 10 minutes! What a shame, no time to do housework or anything else now:D
Best get the kettle on and the biscuit tin out:D
