Just popped on to offer Tru ((((hugs)))), your'e not alone in this situation. My EX was exactly the same, and sometimes my OH can leave the decision making to me. I find it so frustrating at times. Would be nice to have someone take the pressure away from me for a change.
    Keep your chin up!!!

I am so glad I am not the only one who feels like that sometimes.

If you ever want a break and a chat you know where I am :)

  • Good morning everyone!

Lots of OS going on today - need to get the house back in order and clean and shout at OH to put all his cr*p in the shed!

So off to the shower and to get some brekkie, then out with the stardrops and hot water! Got an uninterupted day so I'm really hoping to get lots done. I need to tackle those hotspots too! I just hope this bl**dy sickness stays away today - it comes on so suddenly and I find it so distressing.

tru - you go girl. Did you not go on strike a while ago that was really successful? Maybe time to try that again?

    Love to you all

    Valentine xxx

    Morning everyone :)

Tru - I hope things get better for you.

Crazychik - Your ear sounds awful, I can't believe it's not better yet. I hope the doctor can do something to help you.

Lelc - I agree that cherry cobbler sounds gorgeous

We are getting back to normal in our house, decorations have been taken down and ds is back at school tomorrow. Oh has started his new job this morning, I feel really sorry for him as it's for a notoriously hard company and they will have no hesitation in getting rid of him if he doesn't perform. He is back to staying over in London as the commute too far to do every day. I quite like putting the kids to bed and having a little me time especially as celeb Big Brother is back !!!

I need to have a tidy round today and think of something for dinner as I forgot when meal planning that oh was away. I was sensibly healthy yesterday so that was nice. I too have found the sales completely unsuccessful but did order some bits from the bookpeople as dd is 3 in a few weeks time. DLB was it you that bought that Vtech electronic globe in the sale for your children? I still can't get one in the sale. I found one in Boots yesterday amongst the sale items but when I got it to the checkout it was full price - I was sure I was going to manage to get one reduced but I can't find one anywhere!

Have a good day everyone and hugs to those that need them.

    Morning :hello:

    ((((hugs)))) tru

Walked to work again this morning, took me the same amount of time as yesterday (40 mins from home to my usual morning caff, and a further 5 mins to my desk). Hgbels, I'm jealous - I wish I got to walk through Hyde Park on my way to work, as it's one of my favourite London walks (I do it a lot in the summer as I often need to get between Marble Arch and the Royal Albert Hall) - however to get from home to work I just get to walk up Walworth Road and round the back of the Elephant and Castle - scenic eh? :D :rotfl: When the clocks go forward I'm hoping I might be able to convince myself to walk home in the evenings too instead of catching the bus...

Essex-girl, SNAP! I'm also usually a 12-14, currently verging on a 16, with a size 7-8 shoe. I've already found a few bargains this year though, hope you do too!

Anyway, MUST try and get some productive work done today. My boss is out for the rest of the week so it's all too easy to spend the time doing personal admin. However, I do need to make an official list of stuff I'm looking for in the sales. If I don't do that, I will either end up buying a load of stuff I don't need, or NOT buying a load of stuff I DO need, or forgetting about important purchases until after the sales are over  I think I will be heading out tomorrow after work to buy a new vacuum cleaner, I want a bagless one and my elderly and slightly crappy bagged one (which I got second hand from my dad 5 years ago) is being taken by a Freecycler this evening. Any recommendations welcomed for a decent, well priced COMPACT OR SLIMLINE model - is it worth spending over £100 on (e.g.) the Dyson that's currently half price at Argos, or will a £50 model do the job? I have mainly hard floors (laminate and tile) and a carpet in the bedroom.

Lunch: same as yesterday, I've got one more portion to use up of sausages, spuds and sprouts. Dinner: veggie burgers (yellow stickered) with spuds and carrots.

    Catch you all later

    Love Rzl xx

    Morning all :)

Hope everyone is well and back into the normal routine (I'm still struggling to wake up when my alarm goes off).

    I have a new diary which has zillions of tips and useful info in it (thanks mum :) ) and I'd thought I'd share a tip with you;

For keen gardeners; before gardening gently scrape your fingernails over a bar of soap and then when you wash immediately after gardening it will be much easier to clean your fingernails!

    Have a good day

morning everyone, says she sitting here supping a cup of coffee and it`s the best one of the day because I only have one a day

I`m one of the fortunate ones in that my time is my own these days (until I take on daily childcare for my tiny foetus grandchild....very early days so can`t think about it too much) and my house is easy to clean. I used to look forward to going back to work after the christmas hols, strange I suppose but I liked getting back into a routine and the children too I think

I haven`t got a lot I need to do today as I have left over hm broth from yesterday. I`ll just make some hm bread in my chef, hehe but I`ll make sure that I do this in the afternoon so the house smells good when dh comes home

Decorations are down and half are packed away so I`ll quietly do the rest this afternoon.

I could read or go for a walk or sort a cupboard. Decisions, decisions

    Enjoy the moment everyone

    Morning everyone!!

:grouphug: to everyone on here who needs it!

I was up bright and early this morning at half 7, am paying for it now as am so tired! My puppy has the right idea of snuggling up by the heater with his blanket!

Was going to have a cuppa this morning but am sticking to the 'council pop' this morning, will have some caffeine later on in the morning, otherwise I'm sure I'll feel sick!:p

Our flat is covered in washing on the hangers and airers at the mo... it's so damp in our bedroom though that we've had to start using a dehumidifier...it's only small and I keep saying to myself that it's better than having a damp bedroom, and our washing dries quicker so that'll keep my mind at rest for now!

As I got up early I've already bugged the supply agencies... the first week back is usually quite quiet, but hopefully I'll have some constant stuff for the rest of the month!

Yesterday I got the details on one of my close friends hen night (more like an afternoon and night) so shall be ebaying and pimping out my jewellery to raise some extra money for that. Had a bit of a review of my wardrobe to see what I could wear, and had a chat to another friend who might lend me something if it gets too much of a clothing crisis!

Have HM soup for lunch, really can't wait to try that!

Looks like it's gonna tip it down outside, gonna go play with my dog and read the letters I received from my penpals before I get a bit of housework done.. gonna make some cornflake cakes and have a bowl of breakfast too...

    Have a good day everyone!!

  • Morning to all - I am all behind like the cow's tail today.

Woke up late - put on iron to huge pile of ironing - came downstairs to make cereal and tea and here I am!!! should have been ironing for 30 mins or so by now.

Got to take DD1 to dentist in a mo. She had a car crash (60mph) on 27th and still can't drive (can only just face getting in a car) so have offered to take her.

When I get back I have to do ironing, do some admin work from home I am getting £10 an hour for and I am struggling to do, take down decs and then after tea tonight drive to heathrow to pick up DD3 (9) from her visit to her Dad. We will be home on Thursday afternoon.

    AHHHHH this is no good.

    Must go.

Love to all, well done DLB you are doing as well as my DD1 she is trying too. Tru hang in there we love you.
