Isn't this a sign to take some action and move to a more reliable email service?

I'm also having problems! Lost all emails too which is a pain! Seems to let me login 10 mins ago although was rather slow to load and there were new emails in inbox but all my old emails still not showing!

I phoned yesterday on this number 0800 4798181.

Their status page from link above does not reflect the fact that people have lost ALL emails/addresses.

If you phone can you ask them if they are working on restoring emails and report back here. I don't hold out much hope.

thanks i will phone them - gutted to have lost all my addreses !

Agree the email service has been very dysfunctional since last Monday; emails come through occasionally but most of the time I cannot log in either through Thunderbird, the webmail service or on my Ipad. All the emails and Mail folders on my Ipad vanished last Monday and have not restored despite a hard reboot. I contacted support via hotmail and was told they had a server problem which had been repaired, but clearly they haven't and it's as bad as ever. On Thunderbird I usually download only headers then decide which messages are worth looking at - I can get the headers sometimes but the messages then get stuck downloading. Some messages have been "sticking" for a while, I don't just mean the ones with large attachments, but at present it's universal.

I ve rung up support and they have assured me that they have removed addresses and e mails and backed them up only until they have resolved the problems - they will then put all the info back - should be 2-3 days ! - so hopefully we will get back to normal!! fingers crossed eh?

thanks for the update, fingers crossed.
  • Any techie types here got a clue as to what could have happened and why it's taken them over a week to sort it ? It seems like a major failure they've had.
  • I have had similar problems to those quoted in other replies. I have just returned from holiday to find all my existing e-mails have disappeared along with my address book and folders. keeping my fingers crossed that they can solve the issues soon.

Tesco email has been almost unuasable for around 10 days made numerous calls but no joy. They never answer emails (when I manage to use system) Recorded msg when You call that 'they are aware of eml probs they are working on it' It has been completely non exsistand some nights. Also speed has s-l-o-w-e-d down over time. Not getting hot under the collar -no use LOL!. Have MAC will go to another isp thats the only way to deal with this type. Considering BT £7 a month cheaper than Tesco. Any comments about their service appreciated.
  • I've been having all the problems listed. Rang them yesterday (sunday, free 0845 number calling ;) ) listened to the recorded message but hung on till they offered an advisor.

The message only says about the logging on problem not the missing files which I asked about and, as someone said, they did promise to get them back within the next few days.........I'm not actually holding my breath.

I really will have to get round to swapping it's just this is my main email addy with everything important gets sent to and the thought of telling everyone I've changed sends shivvers down my spine.

Erm, I hardly dare own up to this, but I don't even need to be on Tesco anyway, Hubby works for BT so we get free broadband from them :o
