Mimi, the OP didn't order blue. She should have the flowers replaced and re-delivered - end of.
Am going to start a new customer list - the couldn't be arsed what they get list. Who would like to join it?

and the florist HAS offered to replace the flowers

the only disagreement is who should deliver/collect them. I've already asked the OP WHY they cant collect from the local shop but they havent responded - the OP has said they would happily collect them so it must be a reason from the florist - which we dont know as the OP hasnt told us!

I don't get this impression at all. The OP made a comparison between what was advertised (and pictured) on the website, and what they received:

I absolutely agree, when you look at the picture and see bright colours; reds, oranges, yellows, and what you receive isn't even vibrant and colourful; its not to do with the colour. I'm sure if there had been some wonderful bright blue in with some variety of other summery colours the OP would not have had the same issue with 'individual blooms' being substituted.

read later on - OP states they didnt like the flowers because they contained blue - nothing to do with the fact they got different flowers.

As mentioned - the OP COULD have rang the florist to check A, they got the order ok, B, that they would be delivered (as they was after the cut off point) - the florist may well have said "oh but actually . . . " but we will never know.

When have you ever had a bunch of flowers arrive and they look exactly the same as they do in the picture? (Thinking interflora here lol)

Its a relay service, OP wouldn't have known which shop got the order untill they were delivered. Therefore could not have rang to check they were providing what was ordered, and to be fair, she shouldn't have to.
The OP doesn't know what stem count was in the original bouquet so therefore can't compare this. Stem counts are not advertised, unless its for a dozen red roses ect.
The florist who recieved the order, got paid for the order and sent the order should have rang the OP as a matter of courtesy to explain any changes and see if the OP minded.
The florist who took the order shouldn't have accepted it without the right stock being there.
If all of the above had been done, we wouldn't have to be here now discussing it. It is bad customer service and if I was the OP I wouldn't want to go driving around picking flowers up - I would be asking for my money back.
OP - can you upload the picture yet?

In the OP, it was clearly stated the colours of the flowers she ordered - a vibrant yellow, purple, orange, and I also see red in the bunch too.

The OP clearly stated too, that they received white and blue SMALL flowers.

Don't you think that is a huge difference? They didn't get one colour right!

I think the blue is a side issue, despite the recipient not liking blue. The flowers were simply smaller, and totally different to what was ordered.
There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.
  • OP could still have contacted customer services from the relay centre to double check everything (Which I would have personally done if I had ordered late – Actually thinking about it the last time I ordered flowers I rang them to order, rang them the day before to check and rang them to check they had been delivered BEFORE I rang the person I was sending them too)

No they don’t know the stem count but if the picture shows 25 flowers and you get 5 – you’re going to notice no?

I’ve already said the florist could have rang BUT considering the OP didn’t order until late – shop wouldn’t have got it until the next day – we don’t know if OP specified a delivery time – there MAY not have been time to call and if they did call there was no guarantee OP would have answered. Piglet What would have happened in that scenario? (Generally asking – not having a dig)

The OP stated that they “looked” smallish – OP hasn’t said whether they have seen them (in person) or if it was by a picture (emailed by parents perhaps?) – as mentioned, pictures can be (and often are) misleading

The OP hasn’t told us WHAT Flowers they actually got. They’ve just said colours – So how do we actually know the OP got the wrong flowers when they haven’t provided a more detailed description (or at least a picture)

The OP has looked at the picture and gone “yup – That’s the colours I expect” – which is fine. Except that the flowers in that bouquet come in a variety of colours and it states both on the vibrance page AND in the T&C’s that they may need to change the flowers (And it DOES state that they may need to change the colour of the flowers if needed)

For all we know the OP got the exact same flowers as in the picture – just not the colours that was on the picture. The OP hasn’t complained about ANY of the flowers other than they wasn’t what I ordered – they were blue – I’ve asked the OP if they would have minded if they got the same flowers but without the blue and again – no response – so I can only assume (as OP doesn’t clarify) that the issue is because of the blue.

Lilies and gerberas don't come in blue, so the focal flowers weren't just a different colour, they were a totally different flower. And they are standard stock for virtually every florists shop in the country. I think we need to see the picture of the actual bouquet.

But they do come in white - and OP has stated they got blue and white flowers.

finally piglet - something we agree on  we need the picture :T :D

I can only see what you ordered, not what you received.

However, those look distinctly like blue iris' to me, not purple.
