What Liilian rose flowers are saying is that their solicitor has looked over their t and c at some point and said they're ok. BUT I could put in my t and c that in order to be served in my shop you have to wear a kilt and speak Esperanto. And it would be perfectly legal as is lillian rose flowers t and c, but I would have no customers. Lillian rose flowers should not be defending that sort of workmanship, did they send that email before or after you sent lillian rose flowers the picture? Do you really think any solicitor would defend that creation?
  • Hang on - op says THEY delivered flowers - that doesn't sound like the relay? Could the relay have forwarded your email and that's the florist replying?

Well having seen the photo of the bouquet delivered as opposed to the bouquet ordered I too would have been furious. They do not compare in any way ( except they are both composed of flowers )

Mimi they have not delivered the correct flowers in another colourway. The original bouquet did not feature chrysanthemums in any shape or form. The white ones in the delivered bouquet are the dominant flower. To me this is akin to ordering a pink bouquet to welcome a newborn baby girl and them delivering a blue one. Vibrant ordered, distinctly wishy-washy delivered. Not acceptable.

as some people assume its fine to get something you didn't order and also think its fine to have such shocking customer service

    OMG, dont be so ridiculous.

This is just another case where people don't read exactly what is in front of them and then complain when something that is already stated on the site happens.

As a customer you have one responsibility - TO READ. If people cannot do that then they should not be let loose online.

Is it really too much to ask?

if you look at the site (as numerous people have already pointed out) if the ordered item is not available, a substitute will be sent. In this case, the florist are being their back to offer an alternative but STILL customer on here moaning about it.

You, get a grip and OP get something more pressing to worry about in your life if this upsets you that much.

Blimey... you ought to take a chill pill yourself, and step away from the computer. It obviously doesn't bring out the best in you.
There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.

ok so If you were in the market for flowers and saw these on offer, would you think they were honestly worth £45 of your money

    flowersuv.jpg

    or would you choose these
    vibrance.jpg

and if you chose the second but they delivered the first, would you be happy ?

If you truly can't see that the two bouquets have nothing in common except they both contain flowers, then you are indeed challenged. Do you think the site in question would be happy to have a photo of the delivered bouquet featured as "this is what you might get instead of the colourful vibrant bouquet you have ordered" Don't think they'd get too many orders if so ;)

Surely you have something more pressing to worry about than a stranger being upset about some delivered flowers :p

edited to say whitelabel has done a much better job of illustrating the point than me.

  • Email sent to Lillian Rose with picture of flowers attached:

    Dear Lillian Rose Flowers

I ordered some flowers off you on Wednesday for delivery Thursday. My order number is: IN 10012786, the flowers I ordered were ‘Vibrance’ (£45), however, the picture attached is what I received. As you can imaging I am very disappointed with these flowers as they are colourless and boring. I would either like a replacement bunch that resemble the flowers I actually ordered or a refund.

    Please call me to discuss.

I don't think I went in guns blazing as that is not my manner.

This is the reply I received from Lillian Rose:

Hi I have found your email, it was in the spam. I am sorry for your disappontment, but as I said we have a substitution
policy and as we had no orange we had to change, the reason I didnt ring you was it was a substitution policy. I am happy for you to swap the bouquet
for a more colourful bunch, please let me know if you would like to do this and I will make sure Angie has the
exact flowers you require and give you the address in Chessington.
Just one thing, I delivered the bouquet today from our nearest local shop so you were not disappointed, you ordered it
at around 6pm after the 2pm cut off, so there was no way I could have got it there today otherwise! Our local shop had no orange, so that is why I
had to use the policy, please see my t's & c's, my solicitor has said my t's & c's are correct. Please let me know what you would like to do melissa

And who are you to tell me to grip on anything? Maybe I could add you to my mailing list too! If you ordered twelve red roses for mrs Johnnyboy rebel and 7 pink ones turned up, would you be pleased? Or say 'drat, should have ploughed on through the small print, but never mind'. If thats the case, order your flowers from lillian rose flowers next time.

    ??

Oh right, one of those "i have nothing to say as he is right so will just tell him to calm down"

My post says it all, if people dont read the info on a site then they have no right to complain.
