Yey it worked. Ok I can see gerberas, carnations, lilies and roses which are correct - just different colours to florist pic. Piglet can you identify the white flowers ?

And before me and Piglet go toe to toe again I can see why your upset as its mainly blue and white and not bright like the picture but there are the lilies, carnations roses and gerberas in there so they never gave you completely random flowers like your first post implied. They kept the correct flowers so technically did adhere to their t&c's

Have you seen how many gerberas there are, compared to the proper bouquet? There are at least twice as many. Seems to have been filled up with those mainly.

Yes but the op has taken photo from one side from the looks of it so can't see it all - for all we know there's more around the other side iykwim. The irises are missing - it does say they will substitute the irises in autumn / winter but doesn't say with what (were still in summer right?)

The flowers listed are the flowers op got (except the iris) so company can point out they have adhered to the t and c.

Op - you haven't answered quite a few of my questions - could you please so we have all the info?

OMG. I'm sorry but I actually laughed out loud at that poor excuse for a bouquet.
    Flowers ordered - gerberas x 5, roses x 5, lilies x 4, iris x 7, carnation x 4, rucus x 4 and fern x 3 in a hand-tied design and wrapped in co-orinated paper.
Flowers recieved - cr%p, sorry ment to say gerberas x 2, carnations x 1, chrysanthurums x 3, cream roses which have sat in water containing blue colouring x 5, lilies x 2, fern x 2, asparagus fern x 1 sprig
If that mess had been delivered to me I would be ruddy furious and would happily drive for 40 minutes to hand deliver it straight back, I cannot believe what some 'florists' think passes for floral design and that Lillian Rose flowers should be sent that photograph. There hasn't even been an attempt to match the proportion of the original design, its tiny!
I would value the flowers in that pile of rubbish at approx £13, £16 if you're down south.
Come on, lets hear from the defence....

I wondered why the roses looked a weird blue, it looks like they've been spray painted or something. They look awful. The bouquet is called Vibrance, and that is as far away from vibrant as you can get imo.

What's all the white flowers that seem to dominate the bouquet? I realise they're not gerberas now lol.

I wondered how they did the blue on the roses :-)

Piglet - if the stem count isn't advertised could it be deemed false advertising ?

They haven't said they wouldn't exchange - I suspect they don't want to redeliver and will use a "we sent the correct flowers" argument (technically correct - except stem count and colours)

Do I think its worth £45 - no.

As the stem count isn't stated then its deemed as misrepresentation, because the picture shows a certain number and the end product doesn't have the same in. we can all forgive one or two stems being missing but that is an absolute joke. I would be interested to know who the actual 'florist' is who made it, so I don't ring them to do any orders for me.
The OP needs to send copies of those pictures to Lillian rose flowers and see if they are happy with how their designs are being executed. Literally in this case!
  • I did ask op who they had been speaking to but no reply lol me thinks I've been ignored for disagreeing (slightly) lol

I cant check the website - but I don't remember it saying anything about stem count and pictures varying so op could potentially say there's x flowers missing but then - the florist has offered to swap so not entirely sure what else op wants (?) Except a redelivery (which you could get if its the florist refusing - relay might push it bit again - op hasnt answered my question so I can't advise lol)
  • Hi wow so many replies. I am assuming I am talking to someone from Lillian Rose as I got the number and email address off the website. The picture basically sums up the flowers, blue roses god knows how they do that.

I have sent Millissa Heath an email (sales@lillianroseflowers.co.uk) which had the picture attached.

I wouldn't have minded substituted flowers if they were bright and colourful like the bunch that I ordered.

I just need to know how to reply to the email she sent me (page 1) as you can see they are not worth £45 and look nothing like what I ordered. Will she really be liasing with her solicitors over this????

Sorry trying to answer as quickly as I can.
  • Had you sent the pic in to Melissa in original email? If not it may be she didn't realise how disappointing the flowers were

Correct me if I'm wrong - did you go in guns blazing? From Melissas response I would assume she got defensive. I think she was referring to the terms being correct and that the solicitor checked them - not that she was going to speak to solicitor about you (can't view op so I may he wrong)

The substitutes - basically you got the right flowers - but lower quantity and colours. This was why I was disagreeing - I said I believed the issue was because it was blue (which you have just confirmed) initially I thought they had given you same flowers, wrong colours - which they have. You can't really argue flower types as they ARE the right flowers - but you can argue stem count.

Can we see the email you initially sent to Melissa?
