Hi Guys, I have £72 in reward vouchers which I want to use for a hotel break. However I am slightly confused so any help would be greatly appreciated.
I live in Belfast and would like a London break but Im not sure of hotels etc in London and on the Tesco site it is only giving the company chain name. So which hotel chain is good for a London break.
Also, do I book the hotel with the vouchers then book flights etc, or do I book flights and then search for a hotel. I would preferably like the last weekend in Aug.
And if I redeem my vouchers of Tesco and then cant find a hotel break - do I have to use them on something else?0 -
A handy hint for the current Clubcard Voucher Exchange.
I had 3 x £50 vouchers that were due to expire December 2012, but wanted £30 worth of clothes and decided to use some of the vouchers (as I have loads and loads and not planning to use these before they expire).
So I asked the lady at Tesco if she could do me a £5 voucher doubled to £10 from each of my £50 vouchers. This meant that the £40 x 3 refunded to my Clubcard account will have a massively extended shelf life.
The assistant hadn't been asked to do this before, but I pointed out that I'm such a good customer to get so many vouchers that I surely deserve special treatment.
And I smiled sweetly....0 -
Trying to work out if using these vouchers is such a good deal for hotels etc, as their use seems to cut out other offers, the fact that you are expected to say upfront that you want to use them seems to mean that other offers are not applied. I do have access to a 5% off offer which is applied after any special offer on quite a number of the hotel groups advertised and cannot make up my mind if I should apply for vouchers, for if I can get a better deal I would not use them. ie are they are good deal or not0

I have 3 x £10 Day out vouchers which won't get used by expiry in August. You used to be able to return them and have the credit back not your account - does this still apply can anyone tell me please? Never had to do this before. Thanks
.
Edited: as long as they are not exchanged rewards ie summer rewards etc you can return indate unused vouchers to:

Hi
I just tried to reclaim out of date vouchers and was told that they can only go back 6 months. Sadly lost £50 of vouchers dating back to 2011. If anyone has managed to claim further back than 6 months then please let me know how. Thanks.

The Merlin Pass have a half price sale from Dec 24th until the end of Jan for the last 3 years so suggest you buy then rather than use Tesco vouchers0

Yesterday my wife and I exchanged £15 of Clubcard Vouchers for £30 of eVouchers, intending to buy our daughter some Playmobil for Christmas. We received a confirmation email at 9am but no email containing the eVoucher Codes. I called the Clubcard number (waiting on hold for 30 mins), they resent the email and told me to call back if it didn't arrive. It never arrived. I called multiple times and was told the same thing each time.
I had placed a Playmobil Pirate Ship in my basket in the morning and was pleased to see that the price had dropped from £44.99 to £35.99 during the day, however I was still unable to buy it as the eVoucher codes had not arrived. I noticed that all the other Playmobil sets I had wanted were already going out of stock.
The last time I rang yesterday the operative read the codes to me over the phone, but none of them were recognised when I tried to use them.
I rang back again today and again waited on hold and again was told they would resend the codes. This time they worked but the pirate ship was now out of stock with Tesco (though available with a third-party seller), so I was unable to use my Voucher Exchange vouchers to buy it.
Having checked other sets of Playmobil that were apparently included in the Voucher Exchange I have found they are all out of stock with Tesco (though available with other sellers and therefore not showing as out of stock - sneaky).
In summary I have waited on the phone for multiple hours over two days and wasted alot of time only to find that my vouchers are now useless to buy the things I wanted to.0 -
Can anyone tell me why Avios points make the top 10, but virgin airmiles don't? A virgin miles flight to New York for example would cost fewer points than the same route via Avios.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

If you are looking a going to New York you can exchange your vouchers for 3 times the value for Virgin holidays and used upto £550 pounds worth of vouchers per person. I had alot of vouchers saved and just changed them and got £465 off a holiday to Vegas. You have too book a flight and a weeks stay though so may be too long for NewYork. The holiday has too be booked over the phone so you loose online discount for me would have been about £120 but the vouchers were worth more. I know I could have got a cheaper holiday on Expedia but like the fact virgin fly direct from Manchester. Also funway holidays use the vouchers again 3 times the value and they can be booked online. They use vouchers upto 50% of value of holiday.

Thanks for replying. We did virgin holidays last year to New York before they dropped the £s of vouchers you can use, and we still had to pay abut £400 on top (and I think that was with £750 vouchers each), so I figured this time we'd just do it with the airmiles and then book a Hilton hotel with Tesco vouchers seperately as this way we shouldn't have to pay out any actual cash.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
