Thanks for the replies. Rodenal - did you get the phone for free on that deal?

Typically the tmobile site is currently down - would prefer to order online as can't get to a store in the coming days - but I remember only seeing 24 month contracts on the website. An 18 month one would be more attractive to me.

Don't for get to go via a cashback site such as Quidco for £80+ cashback on new contracts!
    :dance:Quidco Payments In 2011 - £724.21

    June: £43.15/July: £51.22/August: £90.60/September: £29.75/October: £284.07/November: £171.08/December: £29.22

Paid £70 for the handset from memory. You won't find it online though I dont believe which will scupper any cashback, should be £40 a month if you look it up on the Tmobile site as the unlimited internet is a £5 add on for 18 month contracts. It wasn't difficult to get them to include it but i'm not sure if you'd get any freebies on a cheaper contract as (i assume) they are making less money on the contract and less commision for selling you it.

Try using a 3rd party messaging app. Something like handcent (very good and free from the Market) there's an option in there not to convert your message to mms.

Apart from that, how are you finding the phone? I was thinking about getting one of these myself

  • The Samsung Galaxy S 2 may be the best mix of style and substance with a spectacular 4.3 inch Super AMOLED Plus display screen and also powerful dual-core processor. Running Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), the actual Galaxy S 2 pairs the newest and most sophisticated edition of Google’s popular Operating system with an incredible dual-core processor chip allowing you to multi-task very easily, start apps immediately and also manage battery usage to help keep you going for longer. The built-in processor furthermore enables the i9100 to capture 1080p full Hi-def video and also eight Megapixel photos. Also included is a front facing camera for video calls and expandable memory up to 32GB .

its my first android phone and think its good, My brother has an iphone 4 and he was trying to get me to swap with him so I guess its a compliment.

Apart from the MMS problem which sounds fixable the only thing i find annoying is I seem to be charging it everyday or everyother day sometimes, could be the fact that Im using it for facebooking checking emails and playing games quite ofter at the moment because its a new toy so using it every chance I get. Probably stop using it every second of the day when the novelty of a brand new phone wears off. :0)

Mine isn't a very good deal on contract with Tesco (I don't think) but I've had bad credit in the past (i didn't know missing a couple bills through no fault of my own would go against me so much) plus some of the networks still would not offer me a contract even with being good for a while now

    Anyway for £37 on a 24month contract

    Free phone
    1500 mins
    5000 texts
1gb data usage (which includes £2.50 for 500mb data extra)

As I said, I know its a lot but the best I could get, besides I do use my phone a hell of a lot to talk (especially to the hubby) and I would rather have to many minutes (and texts) then not enough..

My husband is planning to get a phone with them in about 6months - a years time (depending on when the next model up is available) then he is just gona phone up and see what better deal then me he can get on an 18month contract, as I will be paying for it and I have set a limit for him of £30 a month (if possible) He isn't really into his all singing all dancing phones as much as me, so when I do take out a new contract for him, I'm taking his new phone and he is having my Samsung G2 which he is more then happy with..
Matthew, Izzy, Suzie, Harry, Darwin. My husband my cats, the main things that matter in my life...

That is one hell of a rocking deal! Was this some retention offer or one that anyone can access?
