Hi,
Just wondering what retention deals people have managed to get on o2 recently?
I am coming to the end of my current contract:
£35/month
Free iPhone 3GS
600mins
500texts
Unlimited data
18 months
I think I want the Samsung Galaxy S2. So far upgrades have offered me:
£32/month
Free Samsung Galaxy S2
600mins
Unlimited texts
500mb data
24 months
What deals have other people got? I haven't been through to retentions yet, but I've been hearing recently that O2 will happily let you leave rather that give you a good deal.

I'm after a similar deal, I'm on T-mobile and would like to go to 02 with a Galaxy S2 on 600 mins plus. So far on a 24 month (I'd rather have a 18 month) contract via cash back and quidco and comparing all the discount sites something like £41 to £36 a month is possible. Do we think these prices will come down?

If you need a deal to help barter down the costs with Retentions, try this with Affordablemobiles ( it would mean ditching O2 for 3 if you decided to ask for your PAC!)
900 mins
Unlimited texts
1GB Internet
Skype
Free 3 to 3 mins £27

Got through to retentions today and there offers were worse than what upgrades offered me. The guy reckons what the upgrade team offered doesn't exist. Think I am gonna wait a week or so and try again. Hopefully the retentions guy was just talking rubbish. Don't particulary want to leave o2 after 8 years but feel customer loyalty is worthless to them so I am left with no choice.0

Unfortunately you missed the boat, the £32 deal for the S2 has ended and it is now £42 to get it free with O2.
The Price went up today
Think it was just an introductory offer, was always crazy to me that a phone marginally cheaper than an iPhone 4 was going free for so little.0 -

I obviosuly didn't think it was that much of a great deal otherwise I'd have bitten their hand off. Never mind, thanks for the info though.0 -
mobile phones direct are doing the galaxy sII on vodafone for £25 a month at the minute. 300 mins, unlimited texts and 500 mb data. The handset is free .0

Mobiles.co.uk are doing the Galaxy S2 on O2 for £27 a month, 300 mins, unlimited texts, 500mb internet and the phone is free. 4 months line rental free to by redemption. Also if you go through Quidco you should get £50 back. I got mine from there recently and had no problems.0

sorry if it is not the right place to ask, but being a current O2 customer at upgrade time, is it possible for me to get this deal and keep my existing number? What I want to ask is that is this deal for new O2 customers or new mobiles.co.uk customers?0
