NO! Please don't do that. You've had quite enough trouble already and it's not even resolved yet. This is a bad idea whichever way round you look at it. Please reconsider[/SIZE]

Already changed my mind as the send button was being pressed.:)

But what are you going to do for fun?
Badger Lady looks like her little problem is getting sorted, and I won't have anything to keep you at the computer for.
Unless I invite Big Guns Lodger to move in with me.:eek::eek:
Then we can have both threads in one place for ease of reference.

LA has arranged to be at the house tomorrow with the lady who did the original check-in Inventory, and I will be meeting them with the photos taken on the day of the hand over.
I am also taking the camera to take identical shots for comparison, so there will be no dispute down the line if she does get traced and hammered.

I was heartbroken last night looking at them. My poor home (which it had been for 10 years) looking so clean and fresh and well cared for, even if it wasn't the latest trendy looks, and even from the outside you can tell it's been treated so dreadfully for the last few months.

Been to my MP's office today to give an update. The office manager is very on the ball, told me some choice phrases to use (clean ones) to drop into the conversation, which might make the LA sit up and take notice.
They indicate I have already been making enquiries about their standard of service, and are prepared to go even further if I'm not happy with their responses and actions.

If they don't act promptly I am to get back to her, and she will arrange for letters to be sent to the relevant regulatory bodies for action.
They might think they can ignore or threaten me, but not letters from an MP written on House of Commons headed paper.:D

If I'm in a suitable frame of mind after tomorrow's visit, and their behaviour is adequately contrite and conciliatory, then I might give you an update very quickly.
If not, I will be hitted the Baileys, Bacardi or Boddingtons Bitter big style - or better still one after the other.
Not altogether in one bucket - that's silly.
I recall seeing an unopened bottle of Creme de Menthe somewhere.
    That'll do;)

    I NEED A HUG!!!!

Of course, if you overdo it the likelihood of all 3 together in one bucket is pretty strong. CdM - bleurgh.....
As for the hug, this can only be achieve on here via the ever so slightly worrying :grouphug:

Good to get an update. Hope the meeting is useful - it's a step forward.

    .
It also probably explains where the saying "Technicoloured Yawn" came from.:)

    And thanks for the hug,
How did you know I was the size that needs 2 people to link arms to manage a hug?;)
It brings to mind an old Mike Harding story when he described dating a, shall we say, generously proportioned lady, and had to take a piece of chalk with him so he could mark where he had left off.
One day he met 2 men coming around the other way, both carrying another piece of chalk each.
No idea if it's anywhere in the ether of t'internet, but I loved it.

If the words and phrases don't include "negligence", "unprofessional", "regrettable dishonour of signed contracts", "reasonable expectations"or "apparently blatant connivance" I beg you to reconsider your list.

I've heard that a pint or two of Creme de Menthe frappe can cure rather a lot of ills.

Big hugs to you, Sue. Big, big hugs. Bonne chance!

    Thanks for the support.:j

I have a feeling that tomorrow is going to be VERY INTERESTING indeed due to further developments since the last post.

I'm really very sorry not to be able to give you more info at the moment, but it will certainly be worth the wait.:lipsrseal:lipsrseal
Don't worry - all totally legal, and I wish I had a camera to record it. I'll warn some friends, not what is happening, but if they just happen to be in the vicinity, and just happen to have a fully charged camera phone.........;)

  • Hell's bells I'm on ruddy tenterhook now! If only this was fiction and not someone else's real life I might be enjoying this tension a bit more.

Sue i can so sympathise with you.. when i had to have personal dealings with my ex tenant from hell, i used to shake, it was one of the worst experiences of my life. On one occasion she was taunting me to hit her , so she could "get the f...ing police at you, you ........ obscenities deleted......" I have never been nearer hitting someone in my whole life, - i didn't. I had a hard back A4 note book with me, and i used this book to write down every word that came out of her mouth, not because i wanted a record, but because it gave me a focus that was not her.... it slowed me down, it gave me something to do, it stopped me looking at her, it made her realise i was not going to "taunted" and i was not going to "play that game". It is a strategy that i used once since then, and it is remarkably powerful. Dont drink all that stuff... it wont help... it really wont... You will need a clear thinking head to deal with this.. and alcohol will deprive you of that. Save it for the celebration afterward....

    good luck

Clutton perhaps takes things too literally - she seems to have missed that all important ;) on the end of Skintsue's post...............

Well I,ve been to check out the house with the LA and the lady who did the original inventory.
Short story because I seem to have timed out twice trying to give the full details.

Whole house is covered in scribbled and marked walls, some with dents in them where something had hit them hard, stained and dirty carpets, one looks like someone has done a dump in the corner, and it has been left to dry out before being removed.

The 3 toilets look like mugs of black coffee have been poured down them (but it certainly wasn't coffee lurking under the surface).
Everything will have to be stripped down and started again. Wooden kitchen units damaged, work top and lino, sink heaving.
Bath panel broken, en-suite shower broken, toilet handle fallen off, smoke alarm batteries all removed, fitten wardrobe doorcatch broken.
Stuff still left in garage - rubbish as well as kid's toys, 3 dining chairs and top of dining table (legs may also be there under the mess.
2 doors broken, and the radiator valve covers taken off the hall red.
I've going for something to eat before I fall down.

    Update 2 along later.
