Hope you didn't leak too much this morning MG and to DS1 hope you have a superb first day at your new school.

Laughs at FW - why no painting, what's up with painting especially where it's needed, I've just got everything ready to get the first coat of paint on the porch walls. Only joking - MG good luck with focussing on whatever the current project is.

Creeps off quietly to get her paintbrush and nice lemon colour paint.

Arghh to broken laptops tmif, my sewing machine went bang yesterday, I know it's old and there is no shame to it but it could have waited till I'd finished taking up dd's curtains - she now has the very trendy frayed edge look to her curtains :rotfl:

Eta: Dustykitten, don't know what's up with my two (19 & 16), they were both up before 9 today - shakes head in disbelief.

    Good morning

Raining here, both boys are still in bed. have had a tidy through, just need to hoover, didn't need much doing as Mum helped me yesterday.

WM on, got a laundry basket on the stairs full to sort and a few clothes I sorted this morning to put away. I have got a bucket load of ironing though, so I might see if my back will hold up for me to do a bit later.

Claire: Take it easy you haven't been well!

Progress here- downstairs nearly done, just conservatory and hall. I am really struggling with this slowing down. Now that I feel much better I just want to return to my usual rushing around but having had such a wobble recently I know that would be foolhardy.
    Babysteps have to continue.

  • Morning Matrix :)

Hope DS has a fab first day MG!

TMIF - £230 is a ridiculous amount of money! DH is a computer fixer - I can ask him if its something he could help with if you like?

Cutlery drawer, underwear drawer and drawer of unknown carp successfully decluttered and I filled a box with books for DH to take to the charity shop! Also decluttered two binbags full of baby clothes, DS was horrified that he wore clothes with Winnie the Pooh on when he was 6 months old :rotfl:

Builders in tomorrow fixing the hole in the bedroom ceiling thank god, we've been sleeping in the living room for the past 3 months but hopefully by this time next week we'll be back upstairs!

Thursday's blood pressure review is looming over me like D-Day, I'm very, very worried about pre-eclampsia - wish the midwife hadn't mentioned it tbh because I'm sure thats not helping matters. Bob seems happy enough in there though so fingers crossed :)

Yes, that would be really kind thank you!

The model number is Sony Vaio VPCF13Z1E/B - I expect he'll need that :)

I have rung a couple of places, and both have said it's a complicated repair because of the way it's all wired up inside (Hope they're just lying to me!!!)

Knowing Sony as I do, they'll have wired it up back to front to any other manufacturer..........

I shall ask him when he gets home, about 5ish :) Can I just make sure I've got it right - the end of the charger has snapped inside the charging port?
  • The connector that you attach the charger to has broken, and it's wobbling about inside it's plastic hole. It charges still but only if the cable is at the correct angle. It gets very hot within 5 minutes of being plugged in
