Both lads are home and parked on the sofa reading. Think DS1 is a bit tired. The one story he told me was his teacher asked him if he had PE kit and he responded with "I don't know, what is it?" - Teacher had to explain to him the PE meant Physical Education and he was still none the wiser. "Sports kit son" - "Oh why didn't you say so? Yes it's in my bag"

I think there is a whole new vocabulary to learn:rotfl:

The good news is that they have reshuffled the classes and DS1 now has a male teacher (which I secretly think is a fabulous idea).

So in one day I have DS2 in a much better environment than before and DS1 with a good male role model. At least he has got to better than HTH!!!!l

Fabulous :) Schools are full of abbreviations, and it's all changed since my day, so I often have to ask DD what on earth she's talking about! Really pleased he had a good day, and that he's got a nice teacher.

I'm feeling groovy now, I've put together another bag of goodies for the charity shop, and have 7 out of 10 minimum required CDs to sell on the magpie site, just have to see what else I can raid from the cupboard of doom as I've sold so many CDs and DVDs already that my side is nearly bare!

DD's bed has been repaired by the blacksmith, no she's not a pony, she just has a metal-framed bed :) and unexpectedly, my handrail for outside the front door has been installed, very impressed, I only ordered it on the 9th and it's been made, delivered and installed by the lovely chaps. Just have to wait for the paint to dry and I'll be ready for hopping up and down it in eager anticipation of being one-legged for a while, and hopefully OH will find it easier to come in and out of the house every time he comes to visit too :) Woohoo!

The kitchen is looking less like a bomb's hit it than usual, still needs a good scrub though, and the washing is hanging up to dry.

    :hello:

Just to third or fourth the use of steradent. It also destains cups - guess who drinks black coffee?

I also use napisan for soaking teatowels and undies which have gone a bit grey.

Must go. Just having my 15 min break from preparing potatoes for freezing as HM wedges and mash - bogoff this morning. :j
But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?
  • Hi Claire - I've had a quick look and the following hotels appear to have availability ... they may or may not be what you're looking for.

They have rooms available but it might be worth contacting them to check what their policy is on Family Rooms.

I've got to go out now, but if these hotels don't appeal to you, let me know and I'll have another think :)

Not good news for dad, more injections :( Got to see specialist on Thursday.

Meanwhile, I'm getting quite annoyed with work!
