but my connection to the Matrix is a bit sticky for some reason.[/QUOTE]
Mine too so I am going to save todays challenge with the rest wnen I am back from hols.
Thinking of you today Kittikins
Happy Hols to Cheery, Soiuk, Hypno - can't think of anyone esle who has mentioned hols
Hope DS1 enjoys first day at new school tomorrow MG, and that you enjoy your child free couple of hours
Hug and positive vibes to those who need them.
Have a good week all.
Back after hols.:j0 -
Thanks MG - my consultant told me to take an iron supplement (which I am... I buy viridian because they are ethical and good quality, although I also have some Iron plus from nutrigold when those run out).
However, my dad, who is a retired GP knows my eating habits (typical female, too much carb not enough protein) but being older and male doesn't really believe that protein comes from vegetables
I'm going to request a haemoglobin test next month and if it's low, ask them to check my ferritin levels, as i've had a lot of bleeding for a long time, and the blood loss as a result of the medication was fairly severe last time. Mind you... No insomnia yet (plenty of lethargy though!) so maybe I won't have the same side effects this time... Oh, and I'm also taking a probiotics supplement as apparently it's a good idea when taking progesterone supplements.
I think I probably need to sign up for some nutrition sessions with my reflexologist (she's qualified, on her second nutrition degree) now she's back from holiday. But that would mean admitting to what I really eat. (actually, I eat a lot of what's on your list... Not the fortified cereals as I make my own muesli, but it has 25g of mixed flakes in it and 25g of nuts, seeds and dried fruit for each portion)
On a positive note, I'm pleased to see dark chocolate is rich in iron0 -
Thanks FW ... By the way, the reason Sofia was my favourite place to visit for work last year was because of the food... One of the few places I travelled to where I was fed salad and vegetables and delicious cottage cheese
I'm so not looking forward to orlando... Everything will be fried!
This is what I am doing here now - eating fresh vegetables and fruit (raw mainly). In fact we all are. The tomatoes - oh, something divine. And the feta cheese and yellow cheeses...mmmm. Going to the market to buy veg and fruit is a ritual here - and is done everyday. You smell it, you touch it - if you like it, you buy it.
I went to the market last night - so climbed the stairs twice. My leg hurts less and less though.
GB, for home made cleaning products you may wish to see Miss Thryfty's blog (there is link through mine but you can find it be a search anyway). She is very nifty about all this - and it is still simple. Her blog won best PF blog last year - would you believe it; she out did Martin L.

Given up with trying to get on other side - The Matrix and other things I have on MrF's server appear to be unreachable this morning.................... so here's today's challenge.
First thing - I love books, they are one of my favourite things in the whole world. I have bookcases full of them. They get dusted, they get cared for - what they don't get is READ ALL THE TIME.
But I don't want to de-clutter my books entirely - but working on the theory that "you need to let go of something old to make space for something new" I realise that a few need to be released.
So today's challenge is to find just five books to gift to other people - Five books that you will take personal responsibility to pass on. That's it just a small bags worth ................
..................... of course if you feel brave you can pass another five onto a charity shop.
But here's the deal - these books must be passed on by Friday, and passed on to your chosen people whilst explaining to them that you found these books as part of a de-cluttering exercise of you home and your life. Let others know that you are taking action - let the gentle questions of "how's that going" be the thing that keeps you on task, holds you responsible in the weeks to come.

No problem with me doing this but dd,ds and dh are going to find this one more challenging!
Today is tidy before 9, wm clothes in/on/out then a solid few hours on school work which I have neglected till now. Plan for this afternoon is to take cameras down to shop and print off pics that the kids like so they can make a summer 2011 scrapbook of things so far and then nip to Nan and Pops to say hello and have a brew/play in their garden.Mortgage £119,533 going down slowly
Emergency fund £1000/£1000
Savings for big things £90170 -
greenbee - I am afraid I have added one more thing on your list
But honestly I don't mind if you tell me to bog off, I will just send it as it is.
BG man is here doing gas safety checks. Another BG man on his way to change the electricity meter. Then we need to go to the library to get reading stuff for DD, go to the town to get last bits and pieces for our hols, last lot of washing, packing and tomorrow we are GOOOONEEEEEE. First proper holiday for AAAAGEEEEESS. And my head feels fine and I feel great, let it last please.
I shall do my best to catch up on the challenges when we are back. But I can proudly declare that my chest of drawers have been moved to its correct place and wardrobe is up. I will go upstairs to put them in good use after breakfast."Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

Thanks for the good wishes, I have a list of 12 scary questions that I thought up with the physio and must remember to take a notebook to write down the answers! Wish I'd been more committed to losing a decent amount of weight in this interim period rather than falling back on my old excuses, as I don't want to be dismissed for being corpulent rather than taken seriously.........hopefully my current condition is more related to injury and bone issues than putting a considerable amount of weight through the joint! Physio seems to think the former but warns that the latter might be a good excuse for no treatment until I'm virtually unable to walk0

Positive vibes, KK, hope it goes well.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Should be working now - I raised the alarm because my blog was not reacheable. he checked anad said that the two of us have had so many visits that we have crashed his server. I was just thinking: 'Hell, yeah!' He found that someone in Austria has been trying to hack his server and this person was blacklisted; and the server is back up.
Oh, the tribulations.
