My new "pocket drill" is my new best friend :p

I've just had to WD40 my ancient router as it has all seized - but it is looking like there will be actual doors by the end of the day.

Pine Frames, Ply panels, chamfered edges and painted bright pink to go in my kitchen - subtle they are NOT :rotfl:

OMG that was a quick couple of months Marru.

You will have us all with you tomorrow - just keep on breathing.

Off to the attic - I am sure I saw some old hinges up there before.

MG - Congratulations on your debt free-ness (I missed it at the time you first posted it, didn't fully catch up with the thread after returning from holiday as there were just too many pages!)

    Marru - Sending positive vibes.

Sunflower - Sorry to hear about your job. I'm another one on Job Seekers Allowance. I applied for JSA online, and then got a call back to attend the initial interview. I have found the Job Centre quite bad to deal with, twice now I have attended at my usual time only to be told I had been sent a letter with a change of time (which I didn't receive or I would have arrived at the new time), so I have had to wait around in town for two hours, trying not to spend any money! My latest appointment has been rescheduled three times, but they are sending me letters now at least.

Horace - can you send a recorded delivery letter to the landlord stating you have already told them about the broken cooker and asking when it will be fixed? It's appalling the way some landlords won't spend any money on repairs, when they are getting plenty from their tenants! My landlord is pretty good with fixing important things (hot water was reinstated next day after calling to report we didn't have any!) However they mentioned replacing the single glazed windows at the back of the house last summer, and have heard nothing since!

I submitted my first OU assignment last week and tutor has said it will be returned by the end of the week, don't think my mark will be that good though as I realised I didn't answer in the way they wanted after I had submitted it! How now learned lesson of 'read questions properly'! I've done some more studying this morning and I have another job application to do this afternoon, after coffee break is over.

Left the router sitting with WD40 on it - I need to cut a rebate in the back of the doors to take some thin ply and for that I need to set up a guard - but I can't shift the nut. So a quick squirt and I shall go back to it in the morning. I am pleased so far though.

Time for a quick clean up as Mum is here for her tea whilst I go to DS1 parent/teacher meeting - can't believe you only get 10 minutes though!!!

And I think a change of top is in order - unless DS1's teacher won't be shocked at a Mum shedding sawdust from her cleavage during the meeting!!!
