Memory_Girl wrote: »Mum just phoned to say she has ordered a kitchen from a guy out of the paper. £100 deposit on Friday. Thing is the name rang a bell "Martin Sersen" - 10 minutes on Google and OMG!!!! Scam, Watchdog the full whammy.
These guys wanted cash on delivery!!!! For a kitchen in boxes - not on my shift matey!!!!!
So Mum is off to bank in the morning to try and stop the cheque - hope she can. I'm thinking that it could at the earliest have been presented this morning so I hope she is in time.
Now to speak nicely to someone with a Trade Account and price up another kitchen for her.

If she knows a joiner or someone good at DIY then I would recommend looking on ebay. We picked one up for £500 4 years ago including oven, hob, dishwasher and sink. It needed a bit of alteration to get to fit but had come from a large kitchen so there were more units than we needed. It was also much better quality than the ones on sale in B & Q.0 -

How long did it take you? The tag cloud that is? It took me 47 minutes and a lot of ranting - not competitive at all, me:rotfl:.
On a more serious note, did he tell you that if you don't understand the instructions to the tool - it is not your fault. Make a note and it shall be explianed - both to you and changed in the instructions.
Have a very productive day, all and I will keep off till lunch time (at least 'try' since neither Yoda nor Nordern Lass seem to be around).

Came across this site where you can check if out of date food is still safe to eat http://www.stilltasty.com/ so of course I thought of all of you with well stocked storecupboardsNothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0 -
