Woop, last coats ont he radiator and the new blackboard done. Also had a hairy conversation with OH about money before the financial advisor appointment on Friday. Not an enjoyable conversation at all but I think we understand each other better now. Still we're both licking our wounds somewhat. Work has been done a bit but more needed this evening - yesterday was a washout. Tomorrow - more work, paint windows and shelves. Then a curry with some good friends - yay!

Stick with it. They look great.

Oh, poor you! I shouldn't laugh but I've 'been there, done that' so many times. I promise (cross my heart and hope to die!) that, if you stick at it, it will become second nature and you won't even have to think about it.

Check you have an even number of stitches before you start. Don't ask how I know that tip. :rotfl:

I am back to knitting after a 30 year gap and, apart from cable, it all came back very quickly.

    YouTube is great, isn't it.
But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?

We are on the Autumn menu plan so we are having a curry tonight.

New POtato and Chick pea curry
    Naan bread
    Cucumber Ratha
    Rice
and Two!!! - yup count them TWO kinds of oil free indian pickle - a lime and ginger and a lemon and chilli and they are "clear your sinuses" spicy I can tell you.

Indian friend of mine told me that "kiddie curries" - (she's not from "proper India" but the little one around the Balti Triangle in Brum) are aromatic with cumin, coriander, chilli and garlic and the grown ups (although she excuses her OH today from this cateogory) use hot pickle to pep theirs up.

They are - what's the word she uses - "Lush!!!

So there is a whole pressure cooker full ready to stock up the freezer LOL
