If you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.

:bdaycake: :j Happy birthday, MrF! :j :bdaycake:

MG: Am disgusted about poor Boots. Don't worry, there really IS a special place in hell for those who hurt animals of children: I'm currently reading Dante's inferno and am making sure of it with my pencil.

    Nice sofa, though. :)

The rest of you all seem to be doing pretty well, apart from Horace: don''t give into that bad man, Horace!

Last night I did something I haven't done in such a long time ........ no not that:rotfl: I mean I woke up worrying in the middle of the night.

Couple of years ago that was a nightly occurence - then I got a plan and got working the DFW plan and it went away. But at 4.18 (Its always that time) I was wide awake and tossing and turning.

Obviously I am a bit worried about money - now that I am DF I need to look at creating an income - and then increasing that income. Just in time BTW as the back to work credit stopped this week.

I hope that when that comes together I won' have the "middle of the night horrors" any more.

So feeling a bit sleepy and grump this morning - but its OK the other 5 dwarves are till fast asleep:rotfl:

    So onwards and onwards

    All Pm's answered.

DS1 is being a real day-dreamer this morning. He is usually up and raring to go to school. I hope the novelty hasn't worn off.

Today I need to figure out how to make some doors from some random 3 x 1 and some skim ply that I rescued from a skip - just small ones to cover the front of my washing machine. There's bound to be a video on Youtube.

  • Positive vibes and support winging its way to you MG. It's horrible when the "night terrors" surface - ds is the worst for that in our house, I'll often wake to hear him pacing around the house.

Can you do your famous chunking down into baby steps. With your debt payments cleared :j but the working tax credits stopped :(, are you near enough in the same position as before ? If so, worry no.1 dealt with, :T. Then it is baby steps towards incremental increases in income all the way (I know that is far easier to type than to do in practice but we are here, cheering you on and supporting you all the way).

    Take care, Thriftyxxx

Morning all - happy belated Birthday MrF.

I didnt sleep particularly well last night because I was fretting, however, I did make a plan. All creditors are accepting reduced payments except for bullying idiot, I tried to make a payment last month but he claimed not to have received the cheque so this month I will pay him £2 and will be paying £1 from now on (my bank said that the cheque wasnt cashed). Rather than writing a cheque I will make it a bit more inconvenient for him and get postal orders instead (I am not normally a vindictive person but there are times when needs must). Normally, I would send someone healing vibes but in this instance I am not, I am transmitting other vibes in his direction:rotfl: I hate being bullied especially when I have acknowledged the debt and am doing what I can to get money coming in.

Last night I was at a committee meeting and once again everyone talked in circles. I was quite drained when I got home but nuked the remainder of my bolognaise and ate that without pasta or bread. Tonight I am having chicken using one of the boneless skinless breasts that mum got a big bag of for me. I might roast this in Mosky.

MG if your working tax credits have ended and you are working less than 16hrs a week then you can claim dole money which will at least pay you a bit more.

I had a bit of time wasted yesterday - I rang about a cleaning job yesterday morning and was invited for interview at 3pm, waited in their offices until 3.25pm on the point of deciding to leave, I was then called in and told that they had offered the job to someone who had attended in the morning, now why on earth did they invite me for interview when they knew they had given someone else the job?

Don't panic ladies - its not my working Tax credits that have stopped - its the £40 back to work credit. I am only down £40 per week but that kind of balances out as pretty soon I won't have any more debt payments to make IYSWIM.

Costed out 2 doors for the front of my washing machine (matching the kitchen) £70 plus VAT!!!! Bought instead a 4.2 m length of 3 x 1 and will make 2 doors instead for £6. Think I might paint them bright pink to match the walls instead.

    Onwards and onwards
