Thank you for all the congratulations, I feel quite bouyant!!
Just getting ready to go to choir rehearsal. Feeling slightly aggrieved with my boss. I asked if I could work from home tomorrow as I am waiting for a delivery. She said no, because she couldn't offer the same to everyone else. Yet most people think it was an absolutely normal thing to do, and indeed within her power to allow. Grrr. Well, I am not going to let it affect me. I shall come into work tomorrow, dressed to the nines (like I am today!) with a smile on my face and a spring in my step and blow her away with the standard of my work. And I shall also re-organise the delivery should I need to, with good nature. She will not get on my goat!!
Right... off to choir practice via somewhere nice to eat tea...(yet unidentified...!). See you all on the morrow!"A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort"Herm Albright 1876-19440 -
Crickett, that is absolutely fantastic news. Well done - what an achievement!
Had Mum and Dad over for the weekend, and it went well. Poor Mum was a bit off colour yesterday though. We all got on really well - hooray. Now just chilling - about to do some work. Naughty me for taking some time off.:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0 -
Greenbee - we get RAC through tesco deals so costs us nothing in actual £s
Finished reading all docs for governors meetings. Formulated most of my questions. Still deciding whether or not to raise a certain issue, I'll see what the mood is like. Just need to print out a load of stuff so I'll get the dinner cooking and then do that.

More :jfor Crickett -well done Mrs.
Dd poorly sick last night so all a bit tired this morning - and feeling a bit dodgy most of the day too. Lots of tummy bugs going round her school and mine so not surprised she has got one, although ds seems to have the constitution of an ox and has only ever been sick once in his life, and even then got up and carried on playing!
Had second meeting for maths course, all about division today, then another meeting on Saturday about maths anxiety . Got a no spend, no tv night planned so I can seriously shred then munch some frogs. If I get enough done then my nails are in for a manicure on Wednesday as I need bribes.Mortgage £119,533 going down slowly

If it hadn't been for you guys booting me up the keister on various occasions, I would not have got this far. I have lots of forms to fill out (and no doubt money to pay!!) but... I am now a fully qualified professional accountant.:D:D:D:D:D:D
Even the fact that I managed to send out duff reports to my budget managers has not dented my pleasure!! :rotfl::rotfl:

Some more good news to end a most excellent Matrix day
.
I can now share today's number crunching exercises....
I don't know how we've done it but.... our disposable family income is now the same as when I was working :j. This has been achieved through cutting out unnecessary spending and of course, not having the expense of working - travel, clothes, etc. The daft thing is, this has resulted in an improvement in our living standards - we eat healthier homemade food, walk more, spend more time together as a family, live at a less frantic pace, the house is cleaner and of course is better decorated.
The other bit of good news is that total negative wealth (including mortgage) in Thrifty Towers has today broken the 20K barrier - £19,700 :T.
So onwards and upwards it is . Next target to earn more than £53.10 a week so that I no longer need to claim Carer's Allowance - plans are afoot and inhand :rotfl:.
Being around here is contagious I tell you, contagious.
