That would be lovely... Except I can only walk about half a mile at a time at the moment :o

Bitsy - you may be right. He's still dealing with a lot of cr*p himself (including his kids being a nightmare) and I think he's finding it hard to see me having trouble coping and is worried that I'm another person who wants him to take responsibility for them. I suspect that's what's causing him to take over at work which in turn annoys me. Sounds like we need to talk... If we ever have time...

On the bright side, downstairs is pretty tidy so the cleaner should be able to deal with it in peace while I'm away. I need to pack now, so hopefully can tidy the bedroom, spare room and maybe even the study to make them accessible while I'm at it.

From 27th. Maybe Greenbee has no access to internet? Hope that is why she has not posted recently.

  • It's all hyper excitement at Chez Bitsy due to DS having his 6th birthday today. Such a shame they still have to go to school on their birthday. Still he's got Forest School this afternoon so hopefully that might take the sting out of it ;)

Shaping up to be a hot day, shall be spending most of today putting together a Galaxy Marble run that we bought for DS. It looks VEEEEEEEERY complicated. Why can things be ready made LOL I am not good at flat pack.........

  • Hello to doingitanyway and all other newbies / returnees.

You know how we have a matrix shovel well I think we need a matrix boot as well :D. I need a well-planted boot in the arris to get going this morning :p have a massive dose of CBA-itis.

On the upside, the ideas have been coming thick and fast recently and I have been seeing quite a few opportunities which is a good place to be . I think I need a plan of action - goes off to create mindmap....

HAve a good day all, Thriftyxxx

    Morning all

    Another glorious day here.

Walked down the road with an energy draining friend this morning who was moaning about her husband again. Tried in the nicest possible way to tell her that whilst they had zero respect for each other things would not change. She is one of those who moans about all the things her husband and kids don't do and then 'rescues them' from the situation. She cannot see the part she plays in this. She packs her husbands stuff for business trips and moans about it. Sorry but !!!!!!, either do it willingly or don't he is not a child. Gee Dr Phil would have a field day!

Right enough of that. Back to spending too much time on here so off to clean bathrooms, iron, dust and get some paperwork done before I come back on here!

I thought you do have a Matrix Boot - there is nothing I enjoy more than booting others.

Thrifty, snap out of the negative mentality and get going. Can you feel the butterflies of excitement for the day and its fruits?

Hello friends, romans, countrywomen and peasants.

Glorious day at Horace's Hovel today - the sun is out, it is deliciously warm and much has already been achieved.

I have acquired 4 more auction lots for charity auction on 18 October:j. Awaiting callbacks for others:cool:

I have also been asked to run a course about using Linkedin - how to put what I know (which is basically commonsense) into a course? Well, I need to provide relevant examples as to how it has worked. I know that through my connections on LinkedIn that I am connected to 5.29million people which is quite a scary thought. This course has to target people who don't understand networking although they have already been on a general social media course.

I am off out in a mo - I have to go and see the book man at Coughton Court because I have some books that they can sell in their 2nd hand shop...books that may be better than some of the offerings they have at the moment. They could have had a load of magazines too but I ditched them last month.

Started out with my gym workout. The target was an hour, managed 50 minutes :o so will do 30 minutes gardening when the sun goes down to make up the shortfall. Feel less scared and more positive now I've started to post and started to exercise. Deffo calms the body down.

Off to complete my to do list for the day.

If anyone can tell me how to add the bits at the bottom of posts like NSDs etc, it would be much appreciated. Also a quote in a pretty colour...yes, would really like one of those

Have a lovely day peoples and soak up the vitamin D :)
If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Type in what you want and save it. There are limits on how much you can have (not an essay) and no business links

Bathroom cleaned. Just having a drink and then I'll quickly do the shower room before lunch and then some sunshine.

  • Oh my word. This marble run toy we have bought for DS requires a degree in engineering to put it together!!!!!! Not sure H envisioned spending ALL day putting it together on his day off.
