I had a dream last night where somebody said that they started putting mascara and lippie on in the mornings and felt better and I thought in the dream that I must just do that. Ok - where have I put my makeup?
I was told that also I think by Souk when I was having a downtime and it really does work. I wear very little makeup but try to when I am out. On holiday last week I wore it all week and felt a different person.
Got to get my house back into shape today, help B.I.L on his building project and do my monthly plans and get back on track - can't get back into a routine as I still feel in holiday mode! Think some 15 minutes are the order of the day:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Debt at start of DMP 1/6/09: £2942 - £1942

Good morning all on a beautiful cloudless morning. We have the caravan door open as well as all the windows and the coffee is especially good today.
The reason for this upbeat mood is because I slept well! What a difference that makes.
MG & Marru, I do find that putting on real shoes and not wearing slippers is the most important thing for me - I was there well ahead of FlyLady.
Sunflower, I freeze the cheese grated in a polibag. A bash on the counter loosens it and I justsprinkle it in the recipe still frozen. I do love not having to stop and grate cheese when I'm cooking and, even better, I only have to wash the grater once in a while.
MOAM, welcome and positive vibes coming your way. It's a horrid situation to be in and one that is familiar to many folk on here. As Bitsy said, there are people on here who can help with CVs if you need it. Keep posting, ask questions whenever you need to and have the odd whinge - the beauty of this thread is that we don't judge, only support. We all do from time to time.
Clairewop - That sounds painful! Keep giving him the paracetamol, there's no virtue in suffering.
Have a lovely day, folks. But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?0 -
Have not had make-up on since before Summer, I think. Dress code leaves a lot to be desired as well but then I avoid looking in the mirror.
Today this will all change - off in the shower (which is an institution), nice clothes on and make up. Later I am having my haircut - and of course by sometime tonight I'll have a revised paper. How about that?

Bit the bullet and stocked up on winter stocks of white flour and loo rolls. Will buy some cartons of milk next week, but apart from that come on winter - do your worst (I shall probably regret that)
Now put my thinking cap on for today - lets find some pennies

Igam, you really need to badger the doctors, those headaches are not nornal and quite worrying IMO. GPs can be such a barrier to getting proper care (sometimes I think their only real purpose is to stop 'too many' people seeing specialists) but you need to keep pestering them until you get somewhere. I'm worried about you!
Right I'll get off my soapbox now, have a good day everyone!
Thanks for your concern. I think I am being put off due to financial considerations rather than clinical need I have to say. I did go back to doctor yesterday and was determind not to be fobbed off - but feeling wobbly I just didnt have the fight in me and came out with antibioticsCame home and cried. Called OH at work and he said I ought to go back but by then I was just so angry I would have probably ripped off the patronising docs head who looks as if she has just stepped out of med school - not my usual GP.
So this morning I have made another appointment for a weeks time - length of course of antibiotics and OH will be coming with me. I have booked an appointment with my friend the cranial osteopath as I am holding a lot of tension in my neck which isnt helping and last night yoga classes started again and I felt better after that. Still off work:( but feel better - pain gone just muzzy. Have to go back to work tomorrow - important meeting re one of the children I work with.
Its really warm here today - no sun. So I am going to take out my frustrations on a wild hop that has taken over a part of the garden - looks nice but has got everywhere this year:)Be the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

What can you suggest if you dont use mascara or lippie - like me. In fact I dont use make up at all - and I could do with a boost:oBe the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

So, I was wondering.... my microwave has a "Normal" oven in it too - is it cheaper to use that, or my "proper" oven? All the name of scrooge-ness and money saving you understand
Also... if I was stashing up things to keep weekly shopping low, what would I buy... (I don't like pasta or rice that much, but a little is ok)
For everyone's benefit, you understand, not just mine x0 -
TMF:
Yes! Yes! Yes! I use my microwave oven all the time. We experimented when we got an electric monitor and it takes our main oven 20 mins to reach temperature and 5 for microwave oven. Microwave oven is also fan assisted so cooks quicker.
The only time I use my main cooker is if I am having a baking session or there are extra people.
For storecupboard/reducing weekly shop how many are you catering for?
We changed a year ago to 2 weekly big shops and have halved our grocery shopping. We can't do top up shops as we have no local shops, so have to plan carefully but it works.Debt at start of DMP 1/6/09: £2942 - £1942

Just me(And the furry babies obviously!)
I will try out the microwave-cooker then - see if it tastes as nice x0
