  • Hello - just wanted to say a big thank you for this thread.

Life's a bit urghh just now and the positiveness here has given me a boost...and the idea that all may not be lost and things may come right. (Am a public servant in a dept. that is into major downsizing).

So trying hard with this dratted internal application form - I've decided I will get out of this horrid limbo and find something by Easter 2012. Very hard as I've never done a CV before (O & A levels was all that was on the last one 30 odd years ago), let alone competence based ones! But, hey, the first will be the hardest - the next one will be better...and I'm upskilling myself as I go.. and I am worth it.

Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

SunFlower, some cheeses are OK to be frozen and other are not. Cheddar, for example, becomes crumbly and doesn't taste right. mozzarela, on the other hand is fine - particualrly the hard one for pizza. My friend freezes goat's cheese - which she buys really cheaply in COSTCO (this is one of the things very much worth buying there if you like it).

    So, experiment.

Had a great day today - a nsd, my birthday - so some lovely pressies and wishes from people and the sun shone - what more can a girl (ok slightly aging lady LOL) want :)

I'm taking these positive thoughts into a new age with me - I have good health, the debt is going in the right direction and I will try not to let the little things in life get to me. Onwards and upwards :)

    Morning all

Been up since silly o'clock, no idea why. Still I have been productive and have made another dent in the paperwork piles some of us created in the August Challenge. Aim is by the end of the week to have them all cleared with just a few odds and ends in my intray to work on during October. Looking ahead to October my aim will be to get DH office sorted and cleared and hopefully find some bits to ebay or add to the car boot stash in the process.

Another beautiful day promised here so I'll be topping up my vit D levels at some point too and clearing another gardening job from my list.

Hope you all get some sunshine today.

Another great piece by Ralph today, just what I need and will provide inspiration and focus for the day:

  • Happy New Year Ladies - well at least that is the message from my friend the Rabbi. So let today be a day of new beginnings.

Will be paying £5.00 off the Big Horse Debt later as I have made a pink spots, pink stripes and pink star apron for one of the Mums at playgroup that needs a costume for her little girl who is going to a "Smartie Party!. The kids need to dress in spots of course - and her littlie is 3 and obsessed with spots.

Now to get some children up and dressed before finally finishing the MindMap stared earlier in the week.

I had a dream last night where somebody said that they started putting mascara and lippie on in the mornings and felt better and I thought in the dream that I must just do that. Ok - where have I put my makeup? :o

Marru a bit of lippy works wonders;)

Beautiful day again today - think sorting out the garden and getting hard to dry washing on the line the priority for today.

    Have a good one everyone
