  • Good morning my lovelies

...................... just had a pop over t'other side to see how OO's problem was resolving and OMG!!! you ladies are brilliant. Big hearted lot of you - so any Matrixettes who haven' been over last evening pop over and have a quick look.

Got a special mentoring session with Mr B later on - so there is a late challenge today apparently so I will post it as soon as I get it.

Today I am mostly dyeing a wool blanket navy blue and making a duffel cat pattern for DS2. He will be so cosy this winter - although I am thinking of knitting him a red hat and mittens with the string through them to go with his coat.

My other hooray - is that my beret "that's just right" is finished - so I will be cosy as I go off to walk the doggie, in about, erm! three minutes.

  • The beret only took me two hours to knit as it's in chunky.

So I did it one night in front of the telly. Just cast on a stripey tank-top for DS2 - excatly the same colours as those shabby chic jugs - you know the blue and cream strip ones.

It will take a bit more than two hours - but if I do the rib on and off through the day then I can settle down to Dr Who and Confidential and do the straight bit cos it is just back and forward.

I go through periods of knitting in the Autumn and winter - crochet is spring and summer, patchwork is spring and clothes making summer - Mmmmm I wonder why?

DS1 has got spelling to learn - Mmmm asking a dyslexic Mum to teach spelling???? I feel a NLP spelling strategy coming on LOL

Lucielle, last Autumn I went to Washington; when back DS3 (nine at the time) was knitting. He taught himself using YouTube. Not that I could have taught him anyway - I have no idea how to knit. If you are keen it is an option!

  • Blanket is in he washing machine - fingers crossed for a nice french navy.

I have finally caved and am sorting out DS2's bedroom - how can one boy have so much plastic crap??

Making the most of a great drying day - hopefully another set of bedding will get turned around later.

And then ......................... must find something delicious to cook for tomorrows Sunday Dinner as we have my parents coming around to collect their dog after their holiday (after which I may give my hoover a rest - dark dogs and light carpets do NOT mix lol)

    Tell me about it :)

Great motivation over the other side for OO. So proud of everybody.

Morning ladies, actually off today! so enjoying Saturday Kitchen, bit of housework and then off to an afternoon party and staying at my friends who has the wee boy tonight.

SHOULD know about the job by Wednesday but its out of my head for now and I'm just planning on having a lovely weekend.

Away to get ready and thin down some soup I made yesterday. I like it thick but you'd need a knife and fork for this!!!

    Have good weekends all XXX
