    Morning Matrix,

I just found this little gem, and wondered if this is what Hovel Lady had in mind in Wales. Amazing, I want one, and at £3000 - the possibilities are endless. The Hobbit House.

  • Hello ladies - spent the afternoon experimenting with a woollen blanket I inherited.

I have test "felted" a piece and think that one blanket could be enough to make a duffel coat for Freckles (DS2). Thing is I only have dark blue dye - he would look soooo cute in bottle green (seeing as he is a canny Scots redhead).

Mind you I also have a yellow dye (bought when Woolies closed down) - does anyone know if I mix he two together I will get green IYSWIM?

Will put off the decision until the morning I think.

That is a gorgeous house, but there only appears to be one bedroom! Also I would be worried about little critters getting in......

I love that house and as for critters n bugs, conkers are great for keeping our creepy crawlies.

Well I have swallowed my frog this afternoon and have commenced a claim for jobseekers allowance, I will get more money than I get now..I could get £64.80 a week:eek: This is not to say I am quitting because I am still searching for paid work - I just think that I should be a bit more comfortably off than I am now:D Anyway, it is about time I applied and seeng as someone I know who is now based back in UK yet still runs a business out in Gran Canaria plus a myriad of businesses here manages to claim for JSA then I thought I should too. I am starting to feel as though a huge weight is being lifted from my shoulders.

Things are being listed on Gumtree too - I am being careful as I don't want to set up a business account with them as it would probably cost money. I am still looking at ways of making money and being crafty because I have debts to pay.

As for digging - I am quite a dab hand with a spade.

Greenbee - must be the day for it as my dh is going under the patio shortly as well. He has had weds and fri off this week and has failed to do a shop on either of these days as he was busy going to the gym and other 'stuff'??? So he has gone out with very bad grace to get food and he 'doesn't need a list' He also has the monopoly on feeling tired cos he works more than anyone else in the world and is working extra hours to bring in more money. Most of his grump is guilt since he knows we are a bit short this month cos he fritters away £ on rubbish (his own admission) so he can stew in his own iyswim.

Apart from that the world is fine and I have a brew in front of me and it is Friday:)

I am knitting like a demon - remember the "too big" beret - well I am hoping this time it will be "Just right" - and I fancy modelling it tomorrow when out for a walk with the boys.

We have the space and a gap where the builder has still got to re-edgethe patio - would be all too easy atm!

Is ok - have sent him to the shop with the evil one (dd agd 9) he never learns - she will cost him dearly in money and stress and he will quickly learn tis better to do these things when he has time on his own. She is a far more effective punishment than anything I could dream up:rotfl:

That is a cruel and unusual punishment (and very, very effective I guess! :rotfl:)

She is a very determined young lady, who is well versed in menu planning and list shopping and also has him wrapped right round her little finger. With dd there is no shade of grey - he will come back a shadow of his former self - her parting words were "Do you want me to sort him out mum?":rotfl:
