Sometimes you just have to take a day off Claire!

OH got incredibly drunk last night and totally embarassed us in front of some really good friends, and he's working and we're going out tonight and he's hungover and tired. Not impressed!

Must try to make more progress with the laundry :(. Lentil and vegetable soup defrosted and eaten for lunch. Went to the farmers' market this morning so I have delicious bread (dark rye with sunflower and pumpkin seeds, light rye bloomer and apple and apricot breakfast loaf) and lots of veg (golden beet, candy beet, normal beetroot, carrots, spring onions, savoy cabbage' potatoes) as well as some rolled and stuffed breast of lamb to feed to my mother tonight as she's staying for a couple of days and is currently out visiting my aunt who is babysitting her grandson about 20 miles away.

My spare room has been gutted... It is empty but my study is full of junk. I now need to give it a thorough clean and move my study into the spare room so I can clear that out, have the ceiling plastered and turn into into a spare room with a desk in... In case OH decides to move in properly at some point!

  • Well I have seen how the universe will offer things to you when you ask nicely this week :)

Since starting my DMP just over 2 years ago this month has been a real struggle, knew it would be with the wedding (partners brother) but had budgeted to within an inch of my life. Then an old school friend asked if I wished to spend a couple of day with her in the Lake District in November and because this year has been hectic workwise (every holiday so far this year I have ended up in work at some point) I wanted to as I knew I could get totally away from work as distance and lack of mobile signal would mean I wouldnt be able to get into or spk to anyone about work.

Initially I had to say no and then earlier in the week I got an email from Quidco saying thay they had made my most recent payment for £80, well I couldnt believe it and check my account and it was definitly there. May 2010 I changed utilities supplier and this is the cashback from then because it had been so long I just forgot about it and assumed quidco were not going to get paid.

Well, the universe obviously thought I needed the break so I am now looking forward to 4 days heading back up north and spending it in the beautiful Lakes:rotfl:

Am still slogging slowly through the house and school work but my back is giving me jip again - how come it was fine while I gardened and decorated and camped all summer and now it decides to go rubbish again when I am doing nowt?

Looks delicious TMIF. We're having lamb with roasted veggies. I'm steaming the beetroot leaves, but does anyone have any bright ideas as to what I can do with the stalks? For the moment they are in the fridge waiting for inspiration to strike...
