Great stuff, when will you hear and any news from the other place yet? Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0 -
Breakfast is booked tomorrow which means a ridiculously early start for me, need to be gone from here at 6.15am:eek: Will I get up in time? Must set the alarm for 5.15am:eek::eek:
I have just looked on the dating site that I have registered on, need to sort out my profile now I have seen others and know what is expected of me. Swoonaroonies too, I have just seen a picture of the most delicious man too trouble is I am too scared to approach him directly:o Mind you it is all well and good but I don't drive in the dark which means I am pretty much stuffed when it comes to dating:o Is it too shallow to want a man to change some lightbulbs and erect some shelves and give me a hug? I have been out of the dating game for far too long:o
Suppose I had better and go and do some washing up, it is piled high in the kitchen and then I can come back and do some updating of my profile on the dating site and contemplate (letch) at some of the chaps:rotfl:0 -
JUst back from the out of Hours Doc - picked DS1 up from school with a sore head, scratchy throat and a cracking temperature. Turns out he has been feeling ropey since lunchtime but didn't tell anyone as he wanted to stay for the Animation Club after school!!!
So we have the second man down with Tonsillitis - thank Goodness for the First Aid kit challenge as at least I have enough Paracetamol Syrup to keep on top of the temperature then Anti-biotics in the morning from the Chemist.
Doing the mopping the fevered brow thing for a while I think - LOL

Friend of mine just started dating through website and she had a lunch date in a pub in the middle of the day on a saturday - no driving in the dark issues and very safe way to meet
Thought today was going to be awful - and nearly posted on here for positive vibes but all went fine despite the agony of losing 6 hours of work yesterday when school evaluation form decided to destroy itself on the computer:eek:
Boss was very reasonable and has booked supply for my class so I can do the [STRIKE]sodding[/STRIKE] thing again tomorrow as I must have looked like a woman on the edge today:rotfl:Mortgage £128,626 going down slowly0 -
Horace hon - have you ever thought of using your Networking skills to find your Mr Right Now?
Dr Misner found his missus through networking - and believe it or not there is a lovely lady on here who could "theoretically" put me in touch with Gabriel Byrneand no - I haven't forgotten that she knows him
The Matrix even connected me with a lovely guy I haven't seen since 1992 and we had a marvellously bittersweet reunion over the weekend.
Betcha if you pulled out your elevator pitch and had a very clear message of who you are trying to connect with you could leverage your network and the Matrix cos we all love buying hats doncha know :rotfl:)
So ask away - but Gabriel Byrne is spoken for cos I got first dibs and Boredofbeingathome is playing "Tag" with me:p

Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Hope the tonsillitis is short lived MG
Called to speak to my GP to check that I didn't need to worry about my breathing, but she was away. When I heard who the duty doctor was I accidentally 'forgot' to leave my number and called my brother who told me to stop fussing as it would take weeks to get back to normal. However, they found a number and I've been told to go for a chest X-ray. I think I might ignore it (claiming I'm too busy) and make an appointment with my GP when she's back if I still don't feel well. I can't believe he'd refer me for an X-ray without bothering to get me in to the surgery and listen to my breathing...
Didn't get much work done today, but I used my time off in lieu to spent the morning with my nephew, practicing walking, learning to draw and playing on the swings0 -
