    Good morning

Ds2 up and out, ds1 up dressed and flopped in front of tv.

loads of things to do this morning, phone bank, estate agents and debt busting ideas.

Need to get rid of a catalogue debt and 2 cc very quick. Any ideas will be greatly received, (as long as they are legal lol)

Hoping my camera lead arrives pretty soon so I can get stuff on ebay :)

Don't sound good :( TMIF, just phoned DH to tell him about what estate agent said, he sounded quite dissapointed :( so unless we come up with £145000 in cash today , which is not going to happen lol, we are not getting our dream house by the look of it :(

Right must stop feeling sorry for myself and get dressed and get some constructive stuff done.

  • Sorry about the house Claire. You never know though, if it's for you it won't go by you.

TMIF, hope you are getting through the day OK. It takes a long, long time, in fact it probably never really goes away completely, it just becomes part of the fabric of your life. Keep looking ahead (as Churchill allegedly said: 'When you're going through Hell, keep going')
  • I'm ok - I even managed to tell my boss without crying!!!!

All i need to do is eat - but it makes me feel sick.

And... I need to do some magic with my wages, because there is a lot of month left at the end of the money at the mo ;)
  • Horace, I hope your early rise went well and you had a good breakfast event.

    TMIF ((((( )))))

    Love that Churchill quote.

I have a few hours off this morning :j:jand local work this afternoon. Not going all the way to the office and back is saving £5.50 on petrol. Early morning temperature was baltic here, so I'll be continuing to attach fleece throws inside the linings of my curtains.

The cat brought in a mouse this morning but it disappeared before I could catch it. I just hope it's not pregnant! :rotfl::rotfl:
If you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.

  • Sorry to hear about the house Claire.

Thinking of you tmif - maybe try to eat little and often eg a quarter of a slice of toast. A low blood sugar will also make you feel sick.

Hope ds1 is okay MG. We have "back to school-itis" here as well - dd has a beautiful snotty, cold and is losing her voice. I am sure she will be generous and share it with everyone :rotfl:.

Well on the never-ending housework front - washing sorted (the ironing is growing again ), dishes done, potatoes prepped and coleslaw made for tea.

I think a second cup of tea is called for before diving into the day with some va va voom.

Have a great day all, Thriftyxxx
  • Cup of Tea TMIF - then its time for the usual drill - storecupboard challenge, Make do and Mend, and creative accountancy:rotfl:

£50 - pah!!!! together we will figure out a way to make the money stretch - just takes a few heads to ponder.

BTW _ I am extraordinarily excited today as I am doing an "Adventures from the pound rack" series for the bloggie and I have found the perfect colour of blue trouser to go with two balls of wool from the Freecycle bag for DS2.

I'm thinking of running him up a pair of bermudas from the trousers and a blue and cream stripey vest / cardigan from the wool.

But first - major reorganisation coming on
