Today was shaping up to be a NSD - then I spent £2 on a picture frame for my best friends Christmas pressie - never mind, I bet you if I hadn't bought it now I wouldn't have been able to find one later.
Its a heart picture - made up of tiny crochet hearts - lovely and shabby chic, just her style.

I didn't get the job
I am not so much upset of not getting it but because of the feeble excuse I was given
I am trying to think what positive message this has for me but failing at the minute. Only consolation is that I might still get transferred to another team so something to look forward to. And no this wasn't the job I was intending to retire from."Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

Glad today is a much brighter day today MG and that you are feeling less "strangled" by funds.
Picture frame sounds lovely. I think in CS you have to "strike while the iron's hot" - "you snooze, you lose" :rotfl:.

I am trying to decide whether to apply for the job I found the other day (massive promotion, massive pay rise, but do I really want to get more responsibility at work?) Not sure at all at the moment. Have been holding off completing the application because of it. I keep thinking it is better the devil you know than the devil you don't.
I am having a really bad day today with the depression. Everything feels like a calamity. This is not useful when I have the lady coming to the see the house tonight. I am going to have to staple a smile to my face I think and sell, sell, sell! I hope she likes it and wants it. Then the fun of really looking for our house begins. I am looking forward to it in one way... and dreading it in another. Dreading it because I have to persuade Hubby to make a decision on a house. He is AWFUL at making decision. Just dreadful. So I can feel a battle royal brewing.
Right... going to give myself a kick in the bahookie and get myself going again. See you later everyone."A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort"Herm Albright 1876-19440 -
Sugah sends you a wee message crickett - in situations like this there is only one solution

And on that note I think I shall leave the computer and go play with the littlie.

Sorry you didn't get it, Marru. At least it wasn't THE job. I think it will take a little while to get to finding the positive message but it will be there. I promise. But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?0 -

Just back from the CS with 3 July '11 glossy home mags for 60p - would have cost over £12 new a month ago, so go me :T. These are going to be used for my Mrs B project book - going to create collages for inspiration to "tart-up" my newly painted rooms.
Absolutely determined that this house is going to become a well-loved and welcoming home / work environment.0
